Fair point. Phones depreciate so fast. Sometimes it feels smarter to buy something affordable and upgrade every 2 years instead of sinking everything into one device.

Midrange phones are doing mad things now. Most people don’t even use half the features on flagships

N500k+ for a phone in this economy? If it can't cook, clean, and do my tax returns, it’s not worth it

It depends on what you are looking for in a device, and then your pocket. If you want a phone that doesn't lag and gives you the class you want, you know you have to spend more. Everyone with different taste and capabilities.

Yeah that's why phones are in different levels. The budget, mid-range and flagship. The higher the rand the higher th price. Hence phones like the Tecno spark, realme C series, infinix and the rest are called budget friendly devices.

It depends on your drive. People with money to throw around buy so many expensive flagships for the feel of it. Price makes people buy budget and entry level. Tech people literally buy anyone that serves purpose.
