You missed the whole point.

Is it possible that the gentleman only needed to pass maths and concentrated all his efforts on that.

This can happen if maths is a requirement for his desired program and he already passed all the other subjects he needed.

Na wa o. I only studied to take government as a subject at the tail end of SS2 just to complete 9 subjects. WAEC mock exam was the first time I took any semblance of a test/exam in government. The subject is too easy to be failed. This man is truly below average, just like Peter Obi.

Almost everybody is aware that he is desperate to become president so that he and his friends could take charge of the Treasury. However I can assure you it is just a day dream. For someone born in 1972, I expect his WAEC result to be dated circa 1989/1990. This is 2008 so it must either be a resit, probably because he failed Maths in his previous attempt(s) or he never finished secondary school and only had to write the exam later in life for political reasons.
While formal education is not a conclusive test of one's abilities, this Okpebolo doesn't represent Edo well at all. Edo is too blessed with materials, to be governed by a mediocre like him. But Sha, that is the Nigerian story!

This is not a thing of ridicule but triumph over failure. I know Okpebolo must have rewritten the exams for better grades. Many people up there today failed in one way or the other before they picked up.

I salute the courage of the governor.
