FIFA can say Chelsea is the first to win the expanded Club World Cup...but they can't say others has not won Club World Cup before.. because that was the name of the tournament they participated in and won.

Even at that, Chelsea have also won the former Club World Cup competition. So what's your point?

It has been called club world cup since 2000.... after the 2000 match between man utd and vasco dagama , it was changed from intercontinental cup that was just between champions league champions and copa libetedoros champions....then they started inviting all champions from each continent and called it Fifa club world cup....so they just cant cancel past winners just because they expended it to 32 teams ....if so then they should also cancel.the early world cups that didn't even have representatives from Africa Asia Australia , the. Middle East and eastern Europe

Even if Chelsea didn't make the UCL second round, they are still the World Champion for winning the CWC. Or how did it stop Chelsea of 2013 from being the UCL defending champion until the final of the 2013 UCL final, even when they didn't reach the second round of the tournament?
