I am an Aerospace Engineer. Fuel Start/Cutoff switches can never change position inadvertently. They are spting-locked in whatever position it is deliberately moved to. You have to pull it out of locked position for it to move.
Secondly, AAIB, FAA, BOEING know far more what they have told the public. They cannot say in those 32 seconds, the only thing the cockpit voice recorder CVR revealed were ' why fuel switched off' and the response 'I did not.'
The crew said more surely, the CVR revealed more. The investigators heard more.

Its time to come out with Airworthiness Directives AD, to install Cockpit Video Recorder on all planes in
operation all over the globe.

Not speculation. There's a report on him that was published yesterday

He experienced a black swan and could not cope.

He lost his aged mother in 2022, his marriage crashed and got separated from his wife, left to an aged father he literally worships and adores enough to tell his security guard to take care of just when he was leaving home for this last trip. "Take care of Papa" was his parting words to the security guard.

He lived and died as a taciturn melancholic, a perfectionist and extreme obsession with order and personal hygiene. Probably felt inadequate and believe he was a failure after losing his mother and marriage. He was fondly called "Sad Sack" by his professional colleagues.

He was the Lead Pilot and final decisions lie on his already sunken shoulders.
It seems he hid it very well. How awful

I don’t believe in this report

Why will he do

The report say he pilot hands is fully busy

So how will he be able to cut off the engine

More importantly while do u even need to have such switch that cut off fuel can an aviation expert help to answer this question

A car those not have such switch

1. There were 2 pilots; the captain and his first officer. The FO was flying the plane when the fuel switch was cut off, raising suspicion that it is the captain that’s responsible, whether deliberately or inadvertently.

2. A pilot will need to cut off fuel supply in the event that any of the engines catches fire.

Wow! This is quite troubling if proven to be intentional....Obidients will still find a way to blame Tinubu for this just to curry favour for their dead on Arrival presidential aspirations.

Humn! So many conspiracy theories surrounding this ill fated Air India Flight of June-12 2025. However, as the world awaits the unravelling the circumstances surrounding the dooming of this sophisticated wide-bodied aircraft, it is expected that all these speculations be suspended.

This incident whether due to human or mechanical error is a tragic incident that will forever bedeviled the aviation world. Rest in peace to all the world lost and condolences to affected families and countries.
But why did the captain turn off the fuel line?
It has to be investigated.

The reason for such investigation is for safety audit just so we do not have a repeat of such failure

While this may be true, this report is unfair to the memory of the pilot since it has not been confirmed. What if this is a plot to cover up something,

By the way, over 4 plane crashef around January February 2025 in the US, what has the wall street moguls reported how come the report on Air India came to open before those ones
This is the problem when people cannot read very well. Did you not read em where the post said that the people saying this are not supposed to do so. Did the post says this is the official and final report?

The report clearly stated that, it was the co-pilot that is First Officer that was piloting the plane on this fateful day.

The Captain was the one acting as the 2nd Officer and it was the First Officer, the one actually piloting the plane that asked the Captain, the one acting as the 2nd Officer…’why he cut off the fuel switch’.

The usage of ‘WHY’ suggests that the first officer knew of a fact that the Captain cut off the fuel switch. He was certain who cut off the switch hence his question was framed directly accusing the Captain of the act.

From this report I want to believe the lead pilot intentionally switched off the fuel supply. From the description... the fuel switch was designed to not switch off by accident ... not even in the dark. The junior had to have seen him turn off the switch to ask why he did so... and that would line up with the steps that had to be taken to switch it off. I believe in the lead pilot's mind he knew what will happen when switched off ...both switches ... and before the crash ..turned them back on so investigators will find them in on position and rule out pilot error. His calmness after being told the switches were off only adds to this line of thinking. Nobody knows for sure what happened ...but at least we can speculate...explore possibilities .. and narrow them down.

Daaamm....That was too fast for a fuel pump to cut off supply to the aircraft engine at just 10sec b4 been reversed back to it's normal position.

I doubt your comprehension ability. I wrote about wall street journal bringing out unofficial report that may have impact on some people's reputation While being mute on a number of other crashes around them. Who is talking about official report here

You are trying to be smart but you are not, you don't even understand your own comment.
Who do blame if the Wall street journal was able to get the report on air India that is not even official? Blame the people in charge in India, the report even said those people are not authorized to talk.
The crashes that happened in the US are still under investigation and nobody has so far leaked anything to the American media. You can't comprehend the report, you can't comprehend my comment and you don't even understand your own comment! ☹️☹️

Even when thinking about the way the fuel switches were designed and placed, touching it couldn't be by mistake. Unless it was the airplane system that switched it off and on again

That was first officer who also happened to have noticed that fuel was cut off and on back after 10 seconds. It is the captain they're suspecting, get it now?
