I noticed that the Nairaland job section is extremely scanty these days.

It's looking as if no new jobs are being created in the country.

Are business owners losing hope in the country, selling off their companies and relocating abroad?

Why is it that we don't have regular people posting about openings in their offices here anymore?

It seems only the Politics section is active on this forum now. That wasn't the case in the past.

I have been noticing the trends months ago.
I haven't seen lots of standard job here in a while

It’s because Nairaland is populated with the unemployed. How can people without jobs create employment?

Bro, same with me yes ago, got my full time/current job from a nairalander...this is 5 years and counting now.

I remember those days also when Business thread was full with insightful topics..etc. It's such a pity

Infact, I've gotten lots of writing jobs on Nairaland few yrs ago.

Those jobs you see online are mostly recycled jobs. They keep repeating it until the deadline is exceeded. Afterwards, those websites stop posting them.

Boss, if HRs tell you how many people apply for some jobs, you won't apply because you'll lose hope already..

Focus on yourself and not other people applying. If it's a job that's supposed to be valuable, then you don't expect just few people to apply. Also keep in mind alot of those who will apply do not even meet minimum requirements. They just apply because they want to.

I have applied for and gotten a job where we were later informed that 15k people applied.

I don't care how many people applying, when I want to apply, I apply..I leave the rest for HR to worry about.

So focus on circle of influence and not your circle of concern. In other words, focus on what you can control, which is yourself and application.

The owner of nairaland should employ me to be posting genuine job vacancies on nairaland everyday. This will drive more traffic to job vacancy section....

because we recruiters dont get quality cv's via nairaland. the people we want are not active here

People are more active on job boards on Telegram, Whatsapp.....
My BIL got an offer from KPMG but they don't have an interactive thread by this year's applicants on this section.
Funny enough I sent him 2024 link of the KPMG thread that was interactive to use for his Partner's interview.

I have posted some jobs here and nairaland bot deleted it...so I stopped..

But then I posted that I wanted to sell my YouTube channel, it was deleted again so I stopped bothering..

Just post it and refer applicants to your email to reach out to you
