There's another gigantic abandoned building along Bodija. I think IBEDC now uses the building. I have always wondered why such a massive building would be left abandoned at somewhere around Bodija |

That building was in a strategic location, that can be more beneficial than been redundant... It's been long overdue... |

BouquiLake:Is it not owned by someone? Doesn't the owner have kids? I really don't know the story behind the hotel but I'm wondering what right the government have in demolishing someone else's property |

hatchy:Haa the rate of empty estates in Abuja is mad . Demolishing this one in Ibadan is actually long overdue. That structure has been abandoned for decade , now serving as hideout for criminals. People living in that area will receive fresh air. |

Brimstone77:Don’t even try to make this about Emeka’s tribe — that’s just attention-seeking! If Emeka is not wanted in a particular place, he should relocate to where he is welcome. I believe it's far more important for Emeka to deal with the issues — the demons — driving him away from his own land, rather than lamenting over street naming or the inability to establish some yeye kingdom in a foreign land! Perhaps the locals saw nothing wrong with naming a street after Queen Elizabeth — after all, she didn’t refer to their land as “no man’s land”! |

Bjteensdes24:Unfortunately, it has been demolished as well. There were litigations here and there between the family. Wouldn't know if the government moved in for possession too or something. |
