Trippledots:Thanks boss. Initially i wanted to go for a 5kwh 24v but because they are all over 1.2m is why i settled for 3.8kwh 12v. But this evening i saw a deal of 5kwh 24v bread brand battery for 880k, and i want to go for it, with a 3.5kva hybrid inverter Please is the battery size too much for the total load which is under 600 watts? And is bread a good brand? Thank you |

How about a 25.6v 7.1kwh for 820k (wooden case) or the same battery capacity in a metal case for 900k? If you would also like to DIY, I have REPT 280AH 82K Eve 150ah 57k Jbond: |

dacool1:Interesting, how did you arrive at this? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 6:01am On Jul 21, 2025 |
Jbond:at this point, I think you should just go with mrreed offer then pair it with a 3.5kva inverter from bread, cworth or haisic. And you know the bigger the battery bank, the more panels you would need to cover for it. This setup requires at least 2,500w of solar power. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 6:04am On Jul 21, 2025 |
mctfopt:i also so that post and was confused, I don't know if he has done a capacity test on it before. Dare pulled 290ah on those battery, mine is set at 280ah. |

Jbond:To avoid the continuous back and forth, you should state your budget, load and required hours of running. This way you can get the best suggestions. |

Please does anyone know a good solar generator I can use while saving money for the bigger setup? Something between 200 to 300 WATT, for Starlink, phone charging and laptop? |

fuckboys:. I'm waiting to hear how he arrived at that. You know, it'd make for an interesting read. |

Hello good morning everyone.im having challenges setting up my battery settings on the inverter. It's a 5kva firman inverter with an lvtopsun battery. For lvtopsun the battery cut off voltage is 48v. Honestly I don't know the meaning of cut off voltage. However for the firman it says the battery lock down voltage is 42v . Is lock down voltage and cut off voltage the same? I don't want a scenario whereby the battery goes lower than it should as the BMS doesn't seem to be communicating |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 8:49am On Jul 21, 2025 |
You need to check the manual for a more in-depth explanation of the lockdown voltage. But in my own opinion, I believe you should set the lockdown to 48V for safety or precaution. Collione: |

Collione:select *USE* or *USER* profile on your firman inverter , then edit the low voltage disconnect to 48v. also edit charge voltage to what your battery manufacturer specified! |

ibietela2:You don't need any solar generator. For those loads, buy: Cworth 1.28kwh battery 190-200k Sako hybrid mppt 40a inverter 140-160k The inverter can charge your battery with grid as well That's 330k to 360k Except you don't know how to calculate wattage, the load you listed cannot possibly consume 200-300w. Let's say you calculate it properly and manage to make the load 100w, The battery at 90% dod will power it for 11hrs when fully charged. The inverter can produce 40a AC charging, which is fast for a battery of that size and should get it full in 2hrs, 30m with Nepa light. You can decide to add one solar panel later to charge it with sun. A CWorth 420w panel is 89k or thereabout. At 5hrs peak sunlight, this will get your battery full in 3hrs-4hrs, depending on the sun intensity. Also with that solar array, your battery won't get discharged while carrying load during the day. The inverter can power your load directly without feeding from your battery |

Valto:Thanks for the feedback unfortunately I can't seem to find Lvd on the manual just the battery lockdown voltage which I'm not sure what it means |

Make COU or cut-off Voltage to 48V if it can go that high, but if not, make DTA 49V. while CU is 55.2 and FLU is 54 ...... This is a more conservative battery parameters for 16s LIFEPO4 Battery Collione: |

This brand new JA 430w is broken at the top left corner. It's bifacial Is it a good buy? Unbroken is 118k This is 80k

Elizkid:Buy cracked pv at Ridiculous price. This price is 38k difference unless it is sold at 40k. ![]() |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Elizkid: 11:40am On Jul 21, 2025 |
dollarnaira:There's two actually The 2nd one is only cracked at the back since it's bifacial. The front is clean no crack Do you Reckon it's a good buy?

Jbond:DIY with smart BMS is better. Forget all those brands of batteries |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 12:31pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
Elizkid:Only a good buy at 10k So by next year you'd replace it. Cheers. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 12:32pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
Elizkid:Better to buy the one with crack at the back for ₦30k. Crack in front no work at all. Cheers. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 12:36pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
Elizkid:It is actually, Joke apart. Installation surface into consideration. But try bargain 50 or 60k. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Elizkid: 12:44pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
dollarnaira:Dem later collect 55k ![]() The back crack only affects the outer layer glass of the back. If you rub your palm against it, there's no glass pieces tearing into your hands, meaning it's line crack. You'll only feel the crack if you rub the tip of your finger nails against the lines. I only bought the one with the back crack |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jbond(m): 1:38pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
Mykcool:Budget 1.8m. Total load 528 watts. Atleast 8 to 10 hours backup after sundown. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jbond(m): 1:40pm On Jul 21, 2025 |
fuckboys:I was asking if the 5kwh is not too big for a total load of 528watts, and mrreed is even coming up with 7.1kwh. And i am not doing the DIY, thanks |
