Nope. Try harder. Obviously improve on whatever you were doing or switch to something else more lucrative.

If a man finds himself in this situation, what should he do?

A man's life span does not start and ends at 40, it is age and not specify the success of a man.

QuinModah:
Being 40 with no job, no marriage, and no child can feel like a lot to handle, but honestly, it's a chance for a fresh start! Let's break it down into manageable steps.

Career First
Getting a job or starting a new career path is a great place to begin. Since you're 40, your experience and skills are super valuable. Consider.
- Upskilling: Update your skills and knowledge to boost your job prospects.
- Networking: Leverage social media like LinkedIn and build professional connections.
- Starting Fresh: You can start as a "fresher" in a new field or try a side hustle to test the waters.

Personal Life
As for marriage and having a child, these are personal choices that shouldn't define your worth. If you're open to it, you could focus on building meaningful relationships and maybe even starting a family if that's what you want. But if not, that's perfectly okay too. Your happiness and fulfillment are what matter most.

Next Steps
So, what's next? Take a deep breath and start small. Reflect on your goals, update your resume, and start networking. You got this! Remember, your 40s can be a powerful time for reinvention and growth .

How does that sound?

I would advise u learn how to drive,
Source funds or help anything, just learn how to drive

After that look for HP, or Uber or even dispatch driving, start from there

For marriage and kids, honestly it's just personal, for some that's not really an achievement, to others it's a big deal, so I wouldnt support or condemn
Nice advice, but where can one likely get hire purchase In this Nigeria?

The world is mental, your mindset defines who you are and what you make out of life.

Life begins at 40.

he should have ZeroWorries as your moniker suggests.

Then on a serious note, Life is just like a football match.

In the first half, both teams come into the game with a game plan they’ve practice: formations, strategies, key players. They play with the strength of their preparation, trying to dominate, score goals, and control the match.

But at halftime, regardless of whether they are leading, trailing, or it's a draw, both teams return to the dressing room. That’s where reflection happens. Coaches analyze the first half; what worked, what didn’t, who underperformed, where the opponents exploited their weaknesses. They restrategize. Sometimes a losing team comes out in the second half with fresh fire and completely turns the game around.

That’s exactly how life is at 40.

Your first half (youth) may not have gone according to plan; mistakes, failures, missed opportunities. but halftime (age 40) is a gift to pause, reflect, and rework your strategy. It’s not the end of the game. In fact, many great goals are scored in the second half. Champions are often made after halftime adjustments.

At 40, a man should not sit back in regret. Instead, he should see it as the second half of his life’s game; time to replan, reinvent, and relaunch. The match is far from over. Many people didn’t even score in the first half but came out blazing in the second.

Hope is not lost. The final whistle is not yet blown. There’s still time to turn the game of life around.

Just like football, it’s the full 90 minutes (and sometimes extra time) that decides the winner, not just the first half.
Wow! You deserve an award for this piece of analysis about life

End it all for what exactly?!!

There are even 50 year olds in this situation yet loving and living their daily lives happily.

In the grave, all men and women are equal! Your achievements and legacies mean nothing after death.

Y'all should stop this needless focus on Age and comparing achievements... It's becoming silly.

Work hard and push ahead with your dreams, and do it solely for yourself not for the people to applaud or hail you.

Education na scam. How can a human being spend a minimum of 14 years in school from primary to University and come out to beg for jobs from people like Edo state governor and Tinubu.

These two alone is a good example that "To know road is better than to know book"

it’s good to encourage people,it’s also good to tell them the harsh truth.how can one be 40 without any single accomplishment.that person is not a serious person.let us be realistic here,Second half is more difficult.most people become physically weaker, most job opportunities are for the younger ones.If u are 40 without a job or family,ur own don finish.

You only have zero worries, why would you end it all?

1. There are men who have children and are running from pillar to post to pay school fees, feed and even treat illnesses.
2. There are some with wives who are more of problems than solution to their lives.
3. There are some who are seriously ill amd spending a fortune on themselves to get well.

So, thank your stars and pick up your life from wherever you left it.

Life has never been easy to even married people out there.... The question is

When will you start to raise a kid for yourself?
At 40 how stressing will it be to just start raising a child?

At 40 how more long can you keep this kids to attain good upbringing?

If at 40 nothing seems alright, what about at 50?

All this questions runs in every mind of a typical struggling man.... But in all, the bad economy and useless political leaders caused it all
