This is impressive. Take it or leave it BAT policies, though painful are in the best interest of Nigeria. Someone had to make those decisions and BAT is the courageous one
Not only painful but tragic.

More people have lost their lives from hunger and unaffordability of medicine..

Best interest of Nigeria in 20 years time will not bring them back.

You may not understand because you might not have lost a loved one.

What’s stops you from doing it and giving us the result.

We are taking about indices you are talking dollar.
dollar comparation will give us the actual state of stock ..you need to note that 30 trillion in 2003 at the dollar rate of 450 naira to a dollar is totally different from 75 trillion at 1550 naira to a dollar .... Dont look at the volume of naira focus more on the Value of naira

We are now running what can be considered a true capitalist economy. Not an Abracadabra economy where the govt determines the price of fuel and naira.
Market forces are determining prices. This is what is available in advanced countries.
Tinubu has my vote and that of my family.
No need to stress the "vote" point further..

Your moniker already says it all.

Did Atiku and Obi not join hands in 2019 in the presidential race to push out Buhari? In 2023, did they not turn against each other? That's how politicians behave. They throw each other under the bus all the time.
that is not what I asked you.

are you saying that tinubu had this same phenomenal hatred for jonathan when he asked JOnathan to resign even when a dollar was just 200naira under jonathan?
Re: Tinubunomics: Stocks Experience Their Best Run Under Any President Since 1999 by Gbogbowa: 4:56pm On Jul 21, 2025
This people like propaganda.let me explain under Tinubu have had my highest income, salary from 140k to 220k but in reality 140k GEJ time is far better than Than my present 220k under Tinubu rubbish analysis

Very weak and mischievous response...

How do you compare the political relationship of Obi and Atiku to Tinubu asking GEJ to resign over the price of dollar,,

Or to Tinubu saying that GEJ cannot declare SOE or remove a Governor,,

Or Tinubu saying GEJ should not remove petroleum subsidy...?

Abeg make we dey get small shame na,,,

Some comments are just irritating..

FDI has plummeted, GDP has crashed, purchasing power in abysmal, but somehow these clowns pull out figures from their ar$$es in asin!ne attempts to paint a picture that doesn't exist.
Imagine APC d!ngb@ts celebrating increased revenue in the banking sector and financial services when the real sector is comatose .
Ofcourse banks are making insane money... In two years alone this govt has orchestrated a 200% increase in transaction charges , levies, and all sorts of arbitrary costs and taxes. Including increased interests rate.
Some mumu will look at the growing revenues and say Tinubu is doing well, meanwhile the economy is crushing under the weight of his misadministration .
Companies are folding, businesses can barely run, even FMCG manufacturers are struggling to stay afloat.
Propaganda no dey full basket

One and only true measure of economic performance is the standard of living of the citizenry. Improvement in the lives and livelihood of Nigerians is what we want to hear and see, not this macro-economic jargon and analysis that benefit the bourgeoisie and their cronies.

E be like say they want to start another story again oh!

All of a sudden, stocks have become "the best since 1999".

We will hear more of this as the 2027 general elections draw near.
That's the truth and not propaganda. This Government is the best ever in terms of bold and necessary policies in Nigeria. They are also the course of highest cost of items and living standards. But the problems is that an average Nigeria only recognises a government that will make everything cheaper or free for all Nigerians, but it can never happen overnight.

Nigerians will suffer if any of the coalition candidates is elected, because none of them can create wealth going by Thier previous performances and records, only Tinubu has the best records in wealth creation and it's reflecting on the stock as reported.

Sharp forensics you did here in 10 minutes.

It's indeed a shame that the person who made this post intends to create a money illusion for the gullible public.
The current NGX market cap must increase by approximately 41% in USD terms to match the 2015 All-Time High. The current rate represents significant growth despite a 225% currency devaluation. At this growth rate, the market cap is projected to surpass the 2015 USD peak valuation by 2028, all things being equal.

How poor man go relate with this news? How does that translate to lower cost of food ? If cost of food can go down drastically to the way it was, people will begin to feel the effects. What is the relevance of this news to someone who is struggling to eat once a day ?

And the stock market didn't remember inflation
Re: Tinubunomics: Stocks Experience Their Best Run Under Any President Since 1999 by ejieddy: 6:12pm On Jul 21, 2025
Means nothing with a devalued currency. The price of dollar to Naira in 1999 can't be compared now. So whatever you say, as long as inflation isn't coming down and Naira is worthless, you are just talking what doesn't make sense. I bought egg roll today for N500. In 199, egg roll was N10. In 2023, egg roll was N150. So your stock market talk only benefits billionaires, not the people at large. Tinubu has a PhD in failure.

Dear FreeStuff NG,

The intention of the data analyst from Nairametrics is far different from what you are currently portraying in this NLFP (Nairaland Front Page).

The Nigerian Government should come out straight on the issue of the devaluation of our currency -The Naira, and how it twists data in its favour to make it look like results are being achieved.

Reno Omokri- a known story spinner & propagandist used the Dollar to calculate total Nigeria Debts whilst Government now use naira to calculate the All Share Index (ASI) to make it look humongous in Naira.

The Statistical Facts and Data

1, The All Share Index is converted to Dollars, it will be far lower than the Obasanjo years where the Stock Market recorded the last organic growth based on the FX rate of less than N120 -$1.

2, Fixed Income Assets and Money Market Instruments like Government Bonds, Naira Denominated Treasury Bills, Sukuk Bonds etc have recorded the highest interest rates in the last 10 years with rates as high as 26% per annum i.e an Investment of N1B earns N260m in 1 year.

The interest received from the investments are currently channeled to the Stock Market which is currently being now being reported as an achievement.

3, The value of blue chip stocks which is reported to have surged have some coming to an all-time low before the rebounding with a price lower than its pre-naira devaluation price. An example is a stock sold at N40 per share in 2023 now sold for N25 and inching up to N35 after the rally now being perceived as an achievement.

The better measured impact on investment would be FDIs into the shares Banks, Insurance Companies, Breweries etc with fresh Dollar investments we experienced during the Banking Post-Consolidation era in the Obj days.

Nigerians read between the figures objectively and are some of the most data-driven intelligent people globally.
They keep throwing trillion figures when the actual value of the stock gains are far lower than the previous administration by far.
Someone who invested $1m in London stock market would have made so much gain at just 20%, while someone who invested same $1m in NGX would have made just 5% in real value.
Propaganda will not turn the Economy around.

Good question.
This is an avenue to invest and make good money
Some stocks would have given you more than 100% if you invested in them.

Nigeria is progressing.

Not up to 70% of Nigerians earn up to the minimum wage of "70k" which is not even sustainable so how then do they invest in stocks? The system is it just work for Nigerians

only uninformed illiterates, ignorants, enemies of nigeria will oppose Tinubu.
The government is fundamentally solving Nigeria's longstanding problems, some people are not happy

It reduces the sufferings because many investors get higher dividends , invariably higher disposable income which would be spent in the markets. Hence,an ordinary Nigerian benefits

Effective tax reform & implementation is next catalyst for ensuring the relatively even redistribution of wealth. When the big earners pay more.

Not sure the story is true when there is a major crash there will be a major rebound
We had a crash with COVID and the 2008 financial crisis
8 do not think politicians should take credit for rebound dynamics that are natural just like I don't think anyone should be blamed for COVID-19

It’s not a magic wand kinda miracle.. it applies back to the economy gradually.
Also, jobless youth can go into production(food), this will also help hasten the reduction in price of goods, foods and other essential commodities.

No be everything be Cho Cho Cho, we need to show workings as a country to support this achievements.
