There are many such houses today in the city. Lots of home owners have passed. I visited the area I grew up and was nostalgic seeing most of the houses, empty, abandoned...Some had children or grandchildren who came around to take over the houses, but in most cases, the kids go far away to build their own houses and the cycle repeats...

We have a lot of such houses in my village, most were owned by rich families of the 1950s, 60s and 70s whose children relocated abroad for studies and never returned back while their parents aged and died, leaving behind their magnificent villages mansions to rot away; most people don't bother taking over village houses, so most are forever abandoned to rot
