I'm in a Stable Condition, Attacked Anambra Governorship Candidate, Ezenwafor Refutes Death Rumour (Attack Video)


The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November governorship election in Anambra, Amb. Sir Jude C. Ezenwafor has described as false online report that he has passed away at the medical facility, stating that he is in a "very stable" condition.

It could be recalled that Amb. Ezenwafor was hospitalized late Saturday following an attack by unidentified gunmen in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja.

The governorship hopeful had described his experience as near death when he escaped assassination attempt after he was attacked late Friday night in Abuja.

In a statement on Sunday by his Media Office, Ezenwafor said he is currently at a private medical facility in Abuja where an operation will be carried out by doctors to extract pieces of bullet lodged in his body following the attack.

"The above report is misleading, malicious and fake, aimed at diverting public attention and create wrong impression on the circumstances surrounding the attack on the governorship candidate in Wuse 2 Abuja, FCT.

"We want to state categorically clear that Hon. Ezenwafor sustained various degrees of injuries in his two legs yet to be operated any moment from now. He is very stable and receiving adequate treatment from a private hospital in Abuja", the statement reads in part.

He therefore urged the media to refrain from publishing unverified news for public consumption, especially on an intricate issue of such magnitude.

Amb. Ezenwafor also solicited for prayers and support from Nigerians for a successful surgical operation and quick recovery.
