Photo of the 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, who was discovered dead in a suspected suicide inside the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, has surfaced.

SaharaReporters on Sunday, July 20, 2025, reported that the incident reportedly occurred on Friday morning and was initially flagged by the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere.

According to Ekikere, he received a distress call at approximately 7:20 a.m. alerting him to an unresponsive woman lying on the floor of the church auditorium.

Upon arriving at the scene, he found the woman motionless, with an empty bottle of a suspected poisonous substance—believed to be a popular pesticide (name withheld)—lying beside her.

It was gathered that police officers visited the scene, documented it with photographs, and later transferred the body to the Real Divine Hospital morgue for autopsy.

When SaharaReporters contacted the Ogun State Police Command, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Omolola Odutola, for comment via her mobile phone, the police spokesperson said the police have yet to establish the actual cause of Ikuenobe’s death.

“It is a negative impression people are circulating around the state,” Odutola said.

“The police are yet to establish her actual cause of death, and you know no family would want them or their people to be associated with such sentiment.”

The most destructive habit that lead to depression is comparison. People compares their lives most times with fake lives of other people thinking they have gone ahead of you in life .Stop it! Everyone has a struggle no matter how they look okay on the outside.

Take it easy with yourself. It's not totally bad for as u think. Some people could also admiring u for some reasons. Let's learn to celebrate our little win, progress. Keep the faith alive . Thank God for your life . It will get better.

Such a tragic incident. It’s really sad to hear about Benita Lurk Ikuenobe’s death, and the details are still unclear. I hope the police can get to the bottom of it and provide clarity for her family and everyone involved. My condolences to her loved ones.

🥺 This is really sad...suicide never leads one to God...it leads to Hell and eternal damnation! No matter what you are going through , always trust God to do right by you...I only hope the family will get some form of closure on her demise...
