Oga I doubt if you ever stayed there. I moved to asaba in 1998, lived at anwai and still live there. So I know what I am saying.
Ask them what language are they speaking (not dialect)? They will say anioma not Igbo.

Some people tend to forget that 'Anioma' is just a word used from the 70's to denote the Igbo speaking part of old Bendel State.

Lol... I don't think you know what you're talking about, I don't even think you've actually lived in these places you mentioned and interact with the people there. How can someone say they are Anioma and not Igbo? It doesn't make sense because the very name " Anioma" is an igbo word . Anioma is not an ethnicity, it's the name of that particular area. Its like someone saying they're eti osa person and not Yoruba.

My former boss in Lagos is from Anioma and not only does he speak to me in ìgbo language, he makes sure to remind me that we're brothers admonish me for one thing or the other... He's a very difficult man to please.
I have lived in Onicha around that Awada and worked with the Gtbank close to head bridge, and used to spend holidays and some weekend at my colleagues place in Asaba and I can tell you this people are Igbo and don't even deny it.

It's funny how outsiders will claim that Anioma is not igbo when it's a matter of igbo unity, but then turn around to call Nzeogu an ìgbo man when they want to blame Igbos for the coup. It's mischievous really, especially considering the fact that the Nigerian army took revenge on the Asaba people by massacring every able bodied male they could lay their hands on during the war all just because if their ethnicity.

And also all their native names are igbo, their language is igbo language, and their culture and traditions are igbo, and right now These people are clamouring to be reunited with their kins across the Niger and become one but some people are here trying to show discord among two brothers by telling them who they are and aren't.

Hahaha Funny how you think of yourself.
So you think if someone wants to invest outside Lagos, Abuja and port Harcourt then delta will be the next right? You are extremely funny. The Onitsha-Asaba proximity is the only importance of individual investments in delta state unless you are talking about oil and gas which is capital intensive, in turn only favour government and the 10% hence doesn't translate to urgency to invest in other sector unless you want to tell me those 10% live there. If Not, then what makes you think your so called delta is important to an Easterner??
