emkz: You are pushing an agenda. Atiku has come out to run against a northerner and a southerner, yet the north didn't give him the bloc vote. Peter Obi came out, even against Atiku and Tinubu, and was overwhelmingly supported across board. If we wanted Atiku, we'd have given him the ticket long ago. Presidency is not a compensation for efforts like the èmilokan tag. We want progress. We don't care for regionalism anymore. Only Obi can give Tinubu a run for his money. Every other person in the ADC can't. BTW the ADC isn't an architecture of Atiku alone, El-rufai was involved too. However, all these were done as a necessary coalition that can give -firstly- Peter Obi, -the people's choice, a fighting chance. The country really don't need a party. We want Peter Obi...or Tinubu might as well do his time. Yorubas no go allow Igbo man unseat their father. They will be taunted with it. So for pride, even intelligent yorubas who understands Nigerian sentiments, would still vote for Tinubu. They said Igbos too dey brag. Somewhere deep seated, they are wary of the Igbo man...it's a dicey decision for them. |

cjfavour:That was a fat lie. Atiku never believed in zoning. He never supported that the zoning should be micro zoned. Bottom line: Wike does not want micro zoning while Atiku never wanted zoning in the first place. Concerning 2027 election. Una talk pass this in the last election. emkz:What are the chances of Atiku this time around, compared to Peter Obi? If they both run separately, they'll lose. If they run together– with Atiku as the frontliner, they both lose. The coalition of APC didn't need new s.election. Tinubu said it outrightly...it was to put Buhari in power. So why should this coalition not put their best foot forward and give themselves a fighting chance...atleast to make it easier in 2031. This isn't ethnic baiting. It is the sentiments around Nigerian politics. —The intellectual and the ottelectual. Our politics have always been about religion, ethnicity and capacity to deliver. |

cjfavour:Wike was hoping he would be the PDP Presidential Candidate, if it was zoned to the South, he does not want Atiku to get it. Atiku also wants to be the PDP Ticket holder and the only way he can get the Ticket, is if it was zoned to the "whole South" but Atiku, after all the antecedents of Wike, does not want Wike to get the Ticket, So, when it was thrown "Open" (without Zoning), Wike who has been pretending that he was fighting for "the South", saw that his chances have evaporated! Atiku used his Foreign Currency War-chest to thrash Wike. WIke on the other hand, having lost the Ticket to Atiku, began to back-stab his own Party and work for the Opposition. That was how his pretense of "fighting for the South", was exposed as nothing but selfish interest. Right now, Wike is reaping the "benefit of his treachery to his Party, the PDP". Infact, it is an Irony, a fraud enabled by our Corrupt Judicial System, to say Wike is still a Member of the PDP. We all saw his anti-party activities in Rivers State. Also, there are some of his 'moles' in PDP, who are sustaining this charade of his membership in PDP, because of pecuniary benefits to them. Shame on all of them. But Atiku too, is also self-centered! He is too desperate to want to be President of Nigeria, just like Buhari back then. Atiku's record in Public Service does not qualify him to hold any other Office in Nigeria, in my own Opinion and evaluation of events since 1999 but hey, this is Nigeria, Fayose, Amaechi, Emefiele, Babachir, Yeye Bello and everybody on EFFC 's Wanted List at one point or the other, are eminently qualified to be President of Nigeria so, why not Atiku? It seems the major qualification, to be fit for office of the President of Nigeria, is to be an irredeemable Treasury Looter and Criminal. And that is why Nigeria is what and where it is today, among the comity of Nations. We should be out-performing or at the very least, competing with the likes of Brazil, Russia,, America, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, South Africa,.... but all we do is run, cap-in-hand to them, to beg for loans, courtesy of our Evil, Clueless, Criminal Leaders and their sycophantic Praise-singers. So, Atiku refuses to step down but who will vote him in as President? he should not be on any Ballot at all, let him support a younger and better Candidate. I have my reservations about the capacity of Obi to lead this Nigeria that is packed with corrupt and violent Politicians, he may end-up being a figure-head President, if elected but then, surprises are always possible. Nigeria needs a strong-minded, very smart, selfless and honest Leader. OBJ ticked some of those boxes but he was anything but selfless and honest. Atiku ticks non of the Boxes. Obi ticked some but l worry ablut his capacity to lead in time of Crisis, and Nigeria is one 'Crisis Bus' in motion. Bottom line, if zoned to the South, l will prefer a Sowore or an ADB Dr. Adeshina or Obi. We need healthy, intellectually sound, honest (relative) but Selfless Person to lead Nigeria. I dont see any serious contender from the North, except all these recycled Looters pretending they want to save Nigeria from Tinubu. As bad a spectacle as Tinubu is, we shouldnt be going from Frying pan, into Fire. |

If Obi decides to accept the challenge of Atiku dollars at the ADC primaries, can they withstand Obi? We heard that Wike and Atiku were sharing $30k per delegate in 2023. Na we get Fidelity bank, if we start bidding from $100k per delegate, Atiku will say walahi this one don pass our power fa. |

MyExpression:Everything you said was okay. But you are wrong to think ALL YORUBAS will still vote for Tinubu. The reason l challenge this assertion is because if you go back to 2023, Peter Obi won in Lagos! Lagos of all places!! Who did you think voted for him, to be able to win? Igbos only? The truth is that a lot of Yorubas voted for him and infact, that is where and when the ethnic big- otry started. Yorubas who voted for Obi were even called "B8st*rds", by their fellow Yorubas, under the instigation of these useless Politicians. ![]() So, it is wrong, very wrong to assume that ALL Yorubas or even a majority of them, will vote for APC/Tinubu in 2027. They will ask: Apart from 'ethnic affiliation', what special thing has Tinubu doen for Yorubas, to command their loyalty? Can you not see all the Roads in Lagos, despite being an APC state? Did he even mention the all important 4th Mainland Bridge which would have eased the Transportation problems (Ketu, Ikrorodu, Sagamu - Victoria Island, Lekki?) of Yorubas in Lagos? They will ask: Apart from 'ethnic affiliation', what special thing has Tinubu done for Yorubas, to command their loyalty? Can you not see all the Roads in Lagos, despite being an APC state? Did he even mention the all important 4th Mainland Bridge which would have eased the Transportation problems (Ketu, Ikrorodu, Sagamu - Victoria Island, Lekki?) of Yorubas in Lagos? Has he helped Sanwo-Eko to solve problems in areas of Health or did he build New Govt Houses for them? Has Education been cheaper for Yorubas or he saddled them to with Educational Loan Debt, like other Nigerians? Is Pipe borne Water flowing in Yoruba States or each Household has to rely on drilling its own borehole? Why should Yorubas just vote for incompetency, just because they are Yorubas and the person on the Ballot is Yorubas? Please give me a Break, my Yorubas Brothers and Sisters are way smarter than that. My Opinion though, others might have a different Opinion, which they are entitled to. |

To begin with, I obviously do not identify with the “corn” gang, but the truth must always be spoken, regardless of affiliation. Are we now to believe that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar can defeat President Tinubu without the formidable political structure of Mr. Peter Obi, something he notably failed to achieve in the 2023 election?. Furthermore, referring to the Obidient Movement as “so-called” reflects a dismissive stance that ignores the movement’s demonstrated national presence and influence. If the intention is to seek Mr. Obi’s support or leverage his platform, then such overtures must be made transparently and on terms that are mutually agreeable. Resorting to backdoor arrangements and covert maneuvers, as appears to be happening, undermines trust and signals bad faith. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is, at present, engaging in actions that echo the very patterns that led to the decline of the PDP as a credible political force. If he were capable of winning this battle alone, a coalition would not be necessary, yet he seeks one. That alone speaks volumes. There was indeed an agreement, one I am not at liberty to fully disclose here, but suffice it to say that undermining coalition partners through covert delegate placements and unilateral decisions is a breach of both trust and principle. The Obidient Movement will not accept such conduct. Let it be clearly understood: we possess the numbers, the renewed resolve, and the willingness to actively safeguard our votes. Mr. Peter Obi was not defeated at the polls in 2023 by the electorate, but by a deeply compromised electoral system. Alhaji Atiku is, of course, entitled to run for any public office as a Nigerian citizen. However, if he chooses to engage in coalition politics, he must also uphold the spirit and letter of any agreements made with his partners. And importantly, it remains the South’s turn to lead. |
