One of the worst things about constantly feeding on bad news and misinformation is that it blinds you to the real opportunities around you. While you sit here parroting Peter Obi’s propaganda and painting the economy as doomed, the facts say otherwise—and the world is watching.

In just two years, the economy has shown clear signs of recovery. Debt backlogs have been slashed. Inflation has dropped from 34% to 22%. The stock market is breaking records not seen since 1999. International institutions like the World Bank, IMF, The Economist, and Bloomberg have all acknowledged the progress.

Governors are getting more federal allocations to develop their states. Foreign investors are cashing in on the stock market boom. Even smart Nigerians are taking advantage of the reforms to position themselves for serious wealth, and many more.

But here you are—stuck on social media, amplifying failure narratives while others are building futures. Keep whining. The train has moved.

To understand what rebase is, I have helped you with some screenshots.
I will get your time.

No go allow Peter Obi give you the advice he got from a madman on warehouse economy o, you see he couldn't achieve anything with it for 8years as governor other than using the state resources to boost his private business in disguise for investment, Anambra went from 25% poverty rates to 53% for this o.

You rebase inflation to create illusion of lower inflation

You rebate gdp to create another illusion of higher growth

You change the meaning of unemployment to create illusion of low employment

Yet none of this has any meaningful impact on the populace

Buhari and those who campaigned and voted for him in 2015 destroyed the country's economic growth and trajectory. The effects are still showing today.

What they did was catastrophic! Some are still arrogant about their involvement.

Enough of the Shenanigans !

Must you defend everything for this Government ? Some discerning members of this forum have over 20 years academic experience & knowledge with Post-Doctoral fellowships whilst navigating the fundamentals of the Nigerian Economy.

This GDP rebasing is an embarrassment to the PBAT led Government.

Please note that the activities of Dangote Refinery for 2024 were also considered in this report.

Tope Fasua (PhD) jumped from one TV station to the another in the last two (2) months boasting that Nigerians would see the effects of the FX unification & subsidy removal in our new rebasing figures.

This economy is tanking truly.

FreeStuffsNG:
Smh.You have moved on to another wailing apart from rebasing. Ignorance is not bliss o.

What you called 1st before was calculated with subsidized dollars FG was sharing before. Now, naira is floated and being priced correctly. Wait till those other countries float their currency too. The only place Nigeria can go is up.
