Hosts Morocco booked their place in a second successive Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final after edging Ghana 4-2 on penalties in a tense semi-final clash that ended 1-1 after extra time in Rabat on Tuesday night. The super falcons should be made to watch their match against Morocco 3 years ago. The antics of the home team, as well as the pain from our loss would spur them on this time around. They need to start absorbing the pressure from today. The pressure of a final match is always on another level. We played with only 9 players the last time against Morocco, in the same Morocco. Two (2) red cards and several yellow cards given to the falcons to drag us to penalties, and ensure we didn't win the cup. Girls be prepared, these Moroccans will do every negative thing possible to win their first ever Wafcon trophy on Sunday, after hosting and losing the last final 3 years ago to South Africa. We haven't played with a stadium full with Moroccan fans so far. A team psychologist is needed now, more than ever, to help boost the team's overall mental strength needed on Sunday, if we want to win the title for the 10th time. 22 Likes 4 Shares |

The Moroccan team played so well against the Black Queens of Ghana yesterday. In fact, both teams displayed quality football. I was wondering if the Super Falcons could handle any of the teams. Based on this premise, I hate to say that the Atlas Lionesses will lift the trophy. My prediction is based on what I have seen both teams play. 3 Likes |

If I was the Super Falcons team psychologist, the first thing I will tell the girls is to forget all the stats so far in the tournament (e.g 5-0 against Zambia, unbeaten run, 9-time champions, only 1 goal conceded, bla bla bla). PSG know better. Me: Girls, all these nice statistics should in the dustbin by now, if we must win this final match. Forget all the 'hype' on social media by our fellow Nigerians. Same Nigerians will tongue-lash the team if we fall on this quest. Girls focus, this is the final lap of our mission. The entire Morocco (in their backyard) are standing on the way to our quest for Mission X, and we CAN, and we MUST move them off the way, willy nilly. Painting the mental picture of our last encounter with Morocco, will help ignite the 'physical hunger' and 'mental fire 🔥' required in every member of the team, to surmount all expected obstacles. It's not all about couching and tactics at this stage. It's team psychology - the power of the mind.
