Wike did not belong to two different parties at the same time. Wike, till tomorrow remans a PDP member. The fact that the ruling party needed his services based on his antecedents and he decided to render the service does not make him a dual party member.

Obi's handlers are not helping him. From 2021 (when he showed an interest in running for presidency) and 2025 is enough time to build his own party based on his large followership. But no, he wants a party that already existed, forgetting that those parties were built by some people for their own ambition. And as a result, they will end up giving him conditions.

There is still time. Obi can still do something, if truly he wants to have absolute control of a party structure.

That is not correct. He has never claimed to be a member. The fact that he works with a government controlled by the ruling party does not make him a member.

However, consistency is key in politics. That is why it is advisable for him to build his own structure rather laying claims to structures pioneered by some other people. You cannot come to my own house and want to act as my landlord. If I need you to be in the house, I will give you my own conditions and you would move in on my own terms, not yours! But if you build your own from scratch, you are at Liberty to do whatever you want in your own house and nobody can question you.

That is the reason the ADC has started giving conditions that might not be so favorable to him, starting with compulsory primaries and also saying that whosoever wants to contest cannot be in two parties at the same time. And truly, it would automatically amount to conflict of interest because of the difference ideologies.

I believe this is a survival move by him to ingratiate himself to Obi as a politician seeing as he hasn't really brought anything to the table so far
I think the possibility of losing relevance if Obi accepts to be Vice in ADC pushed him into action. The big issue is Obi's assuming indecision or will I say cowardly posture.
Even he knows his best bet is still ADC but it seems he's afraid of telling his supporters the hard truth. If they dare go on their own, I can guarantee they won't even get the 6m they got last time. And what's the best these hangers on can do? Scream and wail into the cameras

I hope he's not banking on INEC's IREV again like before. He will be "glitched" once again then I can assure you.
I remember in 2023, one of Obi's biggest weaknesses was the platform itself. LP couldn't even mobilise party agents round all the PUs in Nigeria so how could he know how many votes he really got. Majority of PUs in Northern Nigeria did not have LP PU agents. Has LP come up with a template to remedy that malady? Has Aisha Yesufu gotten a full list of polling agents to cover the SS where she's from
Does Datti-Ahmed also have polling agents that will cover all nooks and cranny of his NW zone?
These are the people goading Obi to run solo so he can lose again
