The Buhari and Tinubu led-APC governments have won another inglorious trophy for Nigeria. After Buhari catastrophic regime have capped us with world's headquarters of extreme poverty award, Tinubu has now put Nigeria among the world's most poorest country despite all the humanitarian and natural resources the good Lord has blessed this nation with.

That negative interpretation is my concern here, and it’s premised on buhari’s support for the election of Bola tinubu as nigeria’s next president. It concerns me because I’m fully convinced that a tinubu presidency would not only destabilise nigeria internally, it would damage nigeria globally, making it a big laughing stock, a butt of dark international jokes!

Truth is, next year’s presidential election will have huge long-term implications, its outcome will affect nigeria for decades. Therefore, no patriotic Nigerian should sit on the fence; that patriotism is what underpins this intervention. To be sure, the presidential election should be as much about character as manifesto.

The presidency is too serious an office to be invested in someone with serious integrity deficit.
Those ignoring character and integrity should remember the Turkish proverb: “When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn’t become a king. The palace becomes a circus.”

So Cameroon is richer than Nigeria, Terrible, very terrible.
They are busy online defending it, and if someone else say something about it abroad they will gether left and right and center and start writing columns both on print and on social media, tagging the person unpatriotic when they should take that as a motivation. There's absolutely nothing unpatriotic about a fact about one's nation. Imagine Liberia and Benin richer than Nigeria, we're not even up to $1k per Capita

If we were serious in this country, the government would've enacted a law to stop the northerners from having children they cannot cater for.

A country where they call M.I.T graduate "CHINEDU"

They lift up their chest and shout "WE WANT NEPA CERTIFICATE"

Omo, the spell cast on most Nigerians ehn, God forbid it.

Some said, THEY WOULD RATHER DIE, THAN SEE A PROSPEROUS COUNTRY RULED BY ANOTHER NIGERIAN, SIMPLY BECAUSE HE/SHE DOESN'T COME FROM THEIR TRIBE

God forbid you guys

May God heal your hearts men.

This is not the life we should give to our children.

I was telling one guy one day, imagine, you were a child, you shouted up nepa, then you will grow up have a child and that child will still scream "Up nepa", chai, God forbid.

See awon "Tinubuadvocate", after supporting buhari and Tinubu, asking now to relocate to Canada with his family.

Kenya GDP more than quadruples Nigeria's..but there's one dumb thread that always rears its stupid head on politics frontpage where ffk argues blindly that Nigeria is several folds better in every index. Well maybe that was before bat flew in to destroy every available institution

If one notices, most of those countries are resource dependent countries.

That's why we should bash apc for not taking moves in 2015 for getting to an industrial economy

Is the list necessary?

They should have said "Africa with the exception of ....and these few other countries" cool

Referring Nigeria as the giant of Africa is the best attempt at mockery. It is like celebrating someone with Glaucoma among the blinds.

But at the end of the day, Kenya is still poor.

They even rely a lot on loans.

I did not say apc is better. We got the stuff that could make us better than kenya

I keep thinking, will it ever really get better.
Re: See The 50 Poorest Countries In 2025 According To The IMF by Btruth:
Not surprised. Half of the country's wealth is in the pockets of the politicians. They kept on flirting with all the political parties. Moving from one party to another. All their ill gotten wealth, they cannot use it to drive the economy of Nigeria. Imagine if we have like 20 Dangote (sincerely investing in Nigeria) things will get better. But all of them are just using our national wealth to enrich themselves. To be honest, I think the British needs to come and re-colonise us again. Things aren't getting better at all. No stable electricity nearly 70 years of independent. Security in the country is -0. Economy is in shambles. Corruption is the order of the day. Come to FCID, Alaagbon and see how corruption is eating all our men in black. It's such a business center. Men in black are so interested in your bail funds than solving the cases itself. It was such a pity what I witnessed there 😭. Truly, this country can't be rule together again. It's dishearten.

If we continue to get it wrong in our selection of who leads us, we will continue by default to find our selves in lists like this. What a shame! Upon how blessed we are, we can't do better.
With a quarter of our land size only, some countries on this same list will have no business being there.
