A group of Nigerian soldiers has taken to social media to express deep frustration over the shocking food rations provided for nine troops deployed on a one-month mission.

In the now-viral video, one of the soldiers displayed the meager food items allotted to them, revealing that they were given only five fish to last nine men for an entire month.

He further revealed that the rations include just one paint bucket each of beans and garri, four pieces of yam, one litre of palm oil, 10kg of semovita, a medium-sized bag of rice, a few onions, and other limited items — all meant to sustain the entire team for 30 days.

Shockingly, the soldier also disclosed that ₦60,000 was collected from each of them, supposedly for feeding — yet this was the food supply they were given. This revelation has intensified public anger, with many questioning how funds meant for soldiers’ welfare are truly being spent.

The video has since gone viral, sparking outrage and concern among Nigerians online.

Soldiers need to focus on their mission and not on over feeding.

A couple of days ago, acting and serving policemen were dispersing the retired protesting policemen.
Funny enough, the retired protesting policemen were protesting for better pay and retirement benefits

There are more qualified people than him from the southeast(if we agree with your tribal sentiments & inclinations) that the region should produce a president.

Nigeria has a followership problem, there is corruption at all levels.

Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
