They are fooling the passport you are carrying, most Nigerians outside are so terrible, not even a single good name for the country.

Between late 70s to early 80s they were the raves. Hussle by day rob at night
It is a lie! Ghanaians have never been known for armed robbery in Nigeria. If you say petty thieves in the market or house-help stealing from their bosses at home, I can agree.
Their ladies were known more for prostitution.
Armed robbery has been the specialty of Nigerians from day one. There was no armed in Ghana until Nigerians brought the menace into the country!

They have decided to develop Ghana through armed robbery as Ghanians no dey take drugs.

This is the third case of armed robbery involving these people in Ghana in less than a month.

The last two cases involved a group attempting to rob a jewelry store . Five of them in their late 40s and early 50s were arrested on the spot.

The other case involved the murder and car jacking of a Ghanian taxi driver whom they murdered for his car.

What is really wrong with these people stems from their wayward upbringing and zero moral code.

This is now beyond staining the image of Nigeria and Nigerians as the world is now knowing them for every manner of criminal vice.
Ain't you guys tired of all this tribal nonsense?

Oh you call it tribal nonsense when it is your turn, they also do the same thing. Regardless check the numbers of crimes committed by Nigerians abroad and check the region that commits the most. Most of the problems Nigerians faces abroad are caused by them because the people don't know the difference, all of us are Nigerians.

It's not adding up. They stole 20 000 and were caught trying to flee and recovered money is now 9 000. What happened to 11 000?

Did Ghana people take some?

The good thing is that Ghanaians now know the difference. During the recent protest, they weren't asking entire Nigerians to leave their country, they were very specific

They don't seem to get it.

Yes,crime is universal but what is particular about them is their attempt to defend and rationalise criminality of their kinfolk

Now that that isn't working, they have jumped on the woke wagon of labelling anyone who sees a pattern as being a tribalist .

It's so sickening and with this attitude nothing can be done to have them self reflect and reform .

Ghanians were never involved in armed robbery.

They were primarily working as teachers (and the very best at it), house maids , bakers (remember Ghana bread and butter) as well as very good shoe cobblers.

They never involved in crime outside prostitution.
Re: Nigerian Galamsey Operator Arrested Over Violent Robbery Of Momo Vendor In Accra by mikeapollo: 12:14pm On Jul 23, 2025
DomPerignon:
In 1969, Ghana expelled about 190,000 foreigners out of which 150k were ethnic Yorubas who had been in Ghana for decades prior .

The reason for Ghana expelling foreigners was because the Yoruba settlers had come to dominate the cocoa industry to which it was to their credit in the first place that Ghana had a cocoa sector to begin with.

The Ghanian government wanted to take back the profitable cocoa plantations that were initially cultivated and tendered by Yoruba expat farmers.
It had nothing to do with crime but was a land grab to redistribute cocoa farms to the indigenes.

The Ghanians were also wary of the potential of Ibos flocking to their country following the end of the civil war . Ghana began noticing a surge in Ibos relocating to their country after the war ended as Ibos refused to return back to the north which was the largest host prior to the war. Ibos were also considered persona non gratia in the SS which served as the second largest host of Ibos after the north prior to the civil war.

Ghana decided to introduce strict immigration laws to curb Ibos flocking to their country .

This then saw to Ibos moving to settle in the SW especially Lagos

All in all, Ghana expelling Nigerians of SW origin so as to collect their cocoa farms and redistribute it to their citizens is one of the reasons Ibos are dragging Lagos with Yorubas today. If that policy had not been implemented , Ibos would have left to Ghana and by now dragging it with Ghanians .
This your post has some misrepresentation of facts.
It is true that Ghana evicted foreigners in 1969, but it was not targeted at Nigerians, although Yoruba people were the most affected and they were virtually 95% of Nigerians in Ghana at that time.
The first president of Ghana (Nkrumah) had made policies that granted automatic citizenship to everybody living in Ghana at the independence day of Macrh6, 1957. This attracted many more family members and relatives to join those foreigners who had been living in country. But another govt felt the number of foreigners in the country was too many and were indirectly affecting the economy, hence the decision to evict them.
The Yoruba were known for being hard-working, industrious and were present in all sectors as farmers, traders, transporters, teachers in schools, nurses, doctors, public servants in ministries etc. For instance, the Mokola market in Accra was named by/after the Yoruba traders.
