So why did PSG beat Madrid, Bayern, and the others if the competition wasn’t important to them? And why were they getting into fights with Chelsea players? Are you saying the same Inter Milan that reached the Champions League final but was thoroughly beaten somehow makes the UCL less important than the Club World Cup?
Madrid can beat other teams and put energy in Copa del rey does not make it as important as Champions league

Xavi Simons to Chelsea is really happening. Carney may go the other way

If Jackson loves himself he should force his exit, no sane football data analyst will recommend him to be starting for us next season, with the arrival of JP and Delap.

CWC is not on the level of CL.
If you like dunk on Argentina in a confederations cup final. No one will ever equate t to a world cup final win
CL final is like the Confederations cup final and World club cup final is like the World cup final. Because we flogged the team that bagged your team, must not make you to turn W on its head and call it M.

nateevs what are your thoughts on Xavier Simon and if you were to choose between him and Rodgers who will you be going for?
I like both. I like players that can offer a better alternative to the offensive role that Enzo plays. Both can, but I prefer Rogers for athleticism and ready PL experience.

That said, there's a serious player in Xavi at 22.

I pay attention to cogent stats. Xavi makes 2.1 Key Passes per 90 and 2.5 Key Passes into the opp Pen Area per 90. To put things in perspective, Palmer average 2.3 and 1.88 respectively for the same stats.

2.26 shots per 90 with 40% on target. Palmer ranks at 3.35 and 36% respectively. Xavi has the advantage of more progressive carries per 90 than Palmer and Enzo.

Defensive Shift, Xavi is doing 5.25 ball recoveries per 90 1.3v tackles which trumps defensive contributions of any offensive players in Chelsea from last season, including Enzo.

Flexible, multi-discipline, high- intensity pressing player that can play across the forward line. He's a classic Maresca player.

It remains to be seen if he can translate these stats into the PL.

Na tebas I actually blame

Until dem impeach that guy laliga no go move forward

In the past 10yrs laliga teams are not hot in Europe like before(asides Madrid )

All because of tight finances

Look at how other PL clubs are signing players
Even Sunderland have spent more than champions of laliga

It's bad tbh
Tebas no Kuku get sense

May be it's just me but I don't think Barca as an institution is actually broke enough to be unable to register players. Since 2022 same news yet they always end up registering all their players. Rashford will be registered with zero problems. Nico used Barca for a record wage deal. If he joined, Barca would've registered him easy.

I also saw their salaries....mehn these guys are paying ridiculous wages. I think it's a facade, they're not broke. Check out next seasons. when Lewandowski leaves, they'll sign one of Isak, Alvarez or another star boy and the registration talk will come again yet that player will still be registered. Na scam abeg 😴
You don’t even need to explain to them ,when we say tebas is killing Laliga with his rubbish rules ,people like ibime knows nothing aside hyping mid English players ,agenda must agenda sha

They all celebrate Barca not being able to register player ,but when season resume na everybody you go see for pitch Dey ball ,it’s 3 years now and dem no wan find new agenda create grin

City is the only premier league team that pays players more than Barcelona self

irrespective of what they add and buy, I have confidence in my club's squad can't say the same for some other clubs fans though
If Sanchez can replicate his performance from the CWC final in EPL and UCL,and our defence maintains the same level, while our attackers deliver similarly like they did, we will be strong contenders to lift both the Premier League and Champions League trophies this coming season.

🚨 ✍️Transfer roundup from the Athletic

Chelsea have reduced their asking price for Christopher Nkunku by £22m. In January, they wanted £65m. Now, they’re asking for €50m (around £43.3m).

João Félix is being targeted by a big Portuguese club and a few in the Saudi Pro League. Chelsea want €50m (including add-ons).

Renato Veiga is wanted by Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, and one unnamed Premier League club. Chelsea want at least €40m to sell him.

Chelsea have made a new approach for Jorrel Hato, a 19-year-old Ajax defender who plays on the left. Talks are still at an early stage.

Other Players Who Could Leave:

Trevoh Chalobah:
Chelsea are still open to offers. They still see Wesley Fofana (currently injured) as higher in the pecking order. Chalobah may look to leave — but only if the deal suits both sides.

Nicolas Jackson has drawn interest from clubs in England and Europe. Chelsea don’t see him as untouchable and may consider offers.

Returning loanees Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Ben Chilwell, and Armando Broja are all up for sale.

Alfie Gilchrist is available for £5m. Some Championship teams have asked for a loan with an option to buy, but Chelsea only want a permanent transfer.

Marc Guiu is not for sale. Chelsea have rejected offers and prefer to loan him out — ideally within England.

Why is Jesus boy aka Nwa Jesus on this list? Dr. Wesley Fofana is higher in the pecking order from sickbay? Nah… this makes no sense, abeg. Whoever’s making this poor decision needs to be checked ASAP!

what does psg need rodrygo for, thought they were not going to sign anybody after all they have the perfect squad after spending 900m to rebuild their team to win ucl they should relax 😊 what they really need is in defense and midfield or nicolas jackson so that dembele can focus on right wing, instead of signing rodrygo when you have desire playing rw and kvara at the left

if he can maintain it is the question, consistency is what we need and that's the issue. Same issue we have with jackson and had with madueke, Sanchez has improved this year I am glad he stayed instead, better an improving player than reviving mike maignan.

my biggest prayer goes to penders and some to jorgenson, he needs to be ready if sanchez goes off form

You will never read that from me.

Infact, most faithful loyalists of our resident bottler have accepted that another bottled season is inexcusable and should cost him his job. It took them 6 years, but they finally arrived where some of us have been since he got hired.

What Chelsea have put together is an EPL/ UCL contending team and that is the expectation. All these pre-excuses some of you are putting up will not cut it this coming season.

You are more than welcome to drag Arsenal.
where have you guys been, I don't recall the last time arsenal finished 2 for consecutive seasons, I hope your wish comes true and you guys sack arteta good luck finding a suitable replacement after him

Former QPR star Adel Taarabt:

🗣 "Now, football has changed. In our time, it was so much skill, dribbling, taking risks. But now, when I watch the game, even the Premier League, I am bored, because there is no player like Coutinho or Eden Hazard.

And you see the price of a player like Mbeumo 71 million to United. Imagine the price of Hazard. It would be a billion.

Chelsea have officially approached Ajax for Jorrell Hato! The player is keen on the move and ready to agree personal terms

This could really be a 10/10 window.

Would you still rate it a 10 if we don't sign a keeper? Sanchez was fantastic at the CWC but there's still trust issues there.

I'm liking how all the noise makers in attack vs defence Don pipe low now.

Attack is not the problem, Jackson is not the problem. Meanwhile boardmembers trying to secure their investment went out and bought a brand new front 3 in 4 weeks, and are now trying to send Jackson back to Coal Tar FC of Senegal. grin

That reminds me. I was watching a video on Facebook about best puskas worthy goals. And Messi's goal against madrid in 2011 in the ucl semifinal was among. Then I saw either xavi or iniesta turn the ball and assisted messi to carry the ball and beat three defenders to score. The goal was good but the turning assist was masterclass. I don't know who did it
