I bought a mobile phone on AliExpress on the 28 of May, and it has been stuck in customs clearance since 13 June, overall the device is in transit for 56 days. I have contacted NIPOST and they say the parcel is not in Nigeria, and when I contacted the Nigerian customs they referred me back to the local courier, I don't know what is happening, is there any help I could get.

Buy locally or use alibaba if you understand it properly and you're willing to wait for the two months sea freighting period

1. Can I still pick up items at nipost office? I'm located in Edo and this was my process in the past. If yes, is the address below still VALID?

2. I saw opay payment options in the AE app. Does it work?

Same thing I get from every other tracking website, the item has been in Nigeria according to all tracking data for over 40 days, and when I contact NIPOST as the default handler of packages from PostNL they say they are expecting it, and it's not yet in the country, I contacted PostNL and they said it has already arrived Nigeria. So I'm confused. It's a smartphone by the way

Seller from Mainland will ship using Speedaf while items from Hong Kong will be shipped via NIPOST. Use your house address to be on the safe side. NIPOST will send the package to the PO closest to your home address.

It does. So does Naira cards from GTB, Wema, FBN, Standard Chartered, Stanbic IBTC, Zenith and UBA.

Also for me, items with "choice" tag usually ship with Speedaf....

In short all of my choice items on AliExpress ships with Speedaf

What are their exchange rates like? The last time I checked (today), my Grey virtual dollar card is slightly cheaper than Opay. Please how the others compare?

How did you get contact Nigeria custom.

Whatever you do, don't use DHL, FEDEX or UPS. If you do, you stand a very high chance of paying crazy high import duty.

Next time choose "AliExpress Standard" when shipping relatively valuable items.
If you don't get your package after 4 months, consider it stolen.

Your item is stuck in customs. It is clearly stated there.

If you don't get your package after 4 months, consider it stolen.

And you think I haven't done that or don't no about such before placing the order, the only reason I posted this here is to look for help from anyone with a similar experience and to let anyone who is about to buy a phone on AliExpress knows what he might be expecting, I'm sure there are a lot who have been in this situation before me, so I'm seeking their help in how they handled the local customs and nipost issues.
