Peter Obi began to become very popular in 2022 when he left PDP and became the LP presidential candidate. But suddenly, he began to dole out millions here and there to build boreholes, donate to universities and what have you. At the end, he lost the election. But in order for people not to mock him that he was doing all those things for election purposes, he has continued to do it up till now.

Is Mr. Obi such a political illiterate not to know that political support gotten through philanthropic gestures do not last? Has he forgotten how Godwin Maduka donated all his wealth to buy voters' support, gave Alex a £1b contract to run online propaganda for him and at the end got less than 1% in the 2021 Anambra governorship election ??

You article sounds too childish and the idea or message behind it is completely meaningless

If election is still more than 18 months away and he's already throwing ₦10m left and center, imagine what he'd do when primaries draw near or if/after he wins the primaries. To me, it doesn't show that this man is politically rugged, because even if it can work for a senatorial election, it obviously can't for a national election.

And of course, it also shows desperation on his part, but much more shows political immaturity.

I can never be helinues, stop deceiving yourself. You're unnecessarily making that guy feel like a legend.

Build bridge by trying to buy people's support through donations? If he ends up spending ₦30b in the process, he would take it back if he wins. So how is he different from the other corrupt politicians??

do you know what is £1bn ? Even Elon musk wont give such money for propaganda.
