The only feasible way ADC can ensure a transparent primary is for aspiring delegates in each state to publicly declare support for their preferred candidate and be bound by party law to vote for their candidate at the convention, and registered party members vote for delegates based on who they support for President For example: Let's say there are 1000 delegates total for the national convention. Each state is allotted a number of delegates. Let's say FCT gets 20 slots for delegates. If you're a FCT resident and registered party member, on your primaries ballot paper, you vote for your preferred candidate. Based on the results, if Peter Obi won 70% of votes, he gets 14 delegates (70%) while Atiku gets 7 delegates (30%). This is done state by state, and in the end, all delegates are added up. Based on the result, the person who scored the highest gets the highest number of delegates to the party's convention. So if Peter Obi scored 60% of votes in the primary election, he gets 600 delegates, Atiku gets 400, and vice versa. That’s how party delegates emerge in the US where we learned democracy from, which I posted here: https://www.nairaland.com/8464017/what-like-how-us-chooses |

ADC Shake my hand and I shake your hand To the Agbadoos asking what the coalition will do differently, I say to them: removing the D-lord, who has brought nothing but untold hardship, strife, hunger, and starvation, is the only difference Nigerians are asking for |

One thing has become clear. The coalition was rushed. The fundamental motivation for the coalition is power. Unfortunately, they didn't plan on modalities guiding their coalition. For example, there is clearly no agreement that everyone involved in the coalition especially those interested in positions must resign from their parties and join coalition. There is also no agreement on modalities of primaries. To cover their limitations, they claim they are hoodwinking Tinubu. But Tinubu's former protégé is their secretary who initially did not want the position. Also Atiku has not joined ADC. Ireti Kingibe who resigned from LP on social media has not done so on the floor of the senate. She is probably regretting rushing to announce her resignation from LP when it was not clear that the person whose back she rode on woukd resign from LP. Datti has made it clear he doesn't trust the coalition. LP threatened to expel Obi bit Datti attended LP NEC meeting to ensure the door is not completely shut on Obi. El Rufai is still in SDP. Obidients insist Atiku must leave the ticket for Obi. The CPC rabble-rousers have suddenly gone mute following Buhari's passing. They might be looking for someone for leadership. Unfortunately, those who might want to step up lack the Buharist credentials. Your principal was in hospital and you defected. That is betrayal. The coalition was not rooted on any foundation of patriotism. The confusion will end it before it starts. |

| Re: ADC: Our agreement is support who emerges from a transparent Primary - Amaechi by AMINDA: 8:25pm On Jul 23, 2025 |
The agreement has been signed and sealed by all and sundry, but Obi is too cowardly to inform his mob of the decision he was privy to from day one. Same way he hid the fact that he was a part of the coalition from his hordes until he was called out and put on the spot. Anyways, Every aspirant must go through the primaries or quit. Obidients on social media may just be having their 5 stages of grief. It will eventually end with resignation and acceptance. They will come around. |

Our vice presidential candidate for 2027 has spoken, those who can't participate in a democratic process should go party shopping. ADC candidacy will not be served to anyone a là carte, if any candidate knows he's that popular, he should subject himself to the party primary election, not using his supporters to be constituting nuisance on social media. The best way to test one's popularity is by election. ![]() |

Amaechi should know he can't win the primaries or be chosen as VP either. His aim should be maybe Senate president slot If they do primaries, Atiku can win it and if he do then he will pick Obi as VP. You, Amaechi can't be VP because you have no strong hold. If they pick you as VP and Obi contest in another party then SS will be shared between Obi and Tinubu while Obi will clear SE and Tinibu will pocket SW as well. |
