Ontarioo:Good evening chief, please I have two questions. 1. I just got my masters degree in social work and I intend evaluating that with WES, will my social worker experience prior to the masters degree still count? Or should I just evaluate my Bachelor's degree in Social Work. 2. Taxes were not paid for that employment will it be a problem? If it would be a problem what should my line of action be? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Ontarioo: 4:42pm On Jul 23, 2025 |
HOMOTOYOSI10:1. Evaluate the masters certificate, it's now your highest qualification. Yes, your prior experience still count. 2.Tax is not a problem. Read page one to see format on how to write your work reference letter. |

Hello house, Please I need your guidance and any helpful advice you can offer based on this profile below. currently exploring possible immigration options to Canada and would appreciate insight from anyone who has been in a similar position or understands the pathway well. Profile Summary: Occupation: Certified Nursing Assistant (NOC 33102) IELTS Score: Listening – 7.0 Reading – 5.5 Writing – 7.0 Speaking – 6.0 Overall Band – 6.5 Education: B.Sc in Business Administration (WES evaluation in progress) Work Experience: 4+ years experience as a care aide/nurse assistant Age: 28 years old Marital Status: single Children: 3 kids My Key Questions: Can I open an Express Entry profile with the IELTS score above? I know Express Entry requires CLB 7 minimum for FSW. I does that disqualify me outright, or can I still submit and remain in the pool? Since Express Entry might not be feasible for now, I am going the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) route actively applying for nurse aide jobs on: Canada Job Bank SaskJobs (Saskatchewan) Work in Manitoba Atlantic province boards (NB, NS, PEI) However, for some provinces like Manitoba and Saskatchewan, I’m seeing I need to open an EOI (Expression of Interest) profile. Should I open an EOI profile now even though I don’t have a job offer yet, or is it only after receiving a job offer that I should do that? I'm confused about this part and don’t want to make any mistakes. Finally, what’s your best advice at this stage? I’m working hard every day to submit applications, follow up, and track job offers. I just need to know if I’m doing it right and how to position myself better or if I should consider other pathways. Any help, direction, or correction from those more experienced would be deeply appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. |

Hi all Please I’ve been trying to request Nigeria PCC online but it’s not working. It stops at the document uploading page and doesn’t proceed to payment section. Is there something wrong with the website? |

You will not be able to create an express entry profile with that score. You are doing great. The only one you currently qualify for is Saskatchewan SINP - Check that your occupation is in demand. I'm this partway, you don't need express entry, no job offer, no connection required. Just register on their OASIS platform and keep praying. Thanks Jacknn: |

It is a redflag definitely, however if there are supported explanations, maybe some sales, some investments etc. I don't advise you submit just like that as I have had a visa rejection for this same reason before. However during my PR application I didn't put anything about my salary, and the POF I availed was very huge, there was not problem with it, I didn't even submit a statement, just a letter from the bank. Hello house, I need advice as I have almost gotten to the point of giving up on this Canadian PR. I and my husband are in the pool with me as the main applicant. We currently have a score of 375. But it seems like they won't be calling that any time soon at this rate. I have tried to look into most PNP routes and we av applied for mpnp and I have 609 ranking points, I have B.sc in computer science buh I don't have tech experience and my ielts score is L-7.0, R-6.0, W-6.5 and S-7.5 Is there anything I am over looking ? Is there another route we can consider again for PR? Please I need advice. My NOC is Administrative Assistant. I have considered learning French but I think it would take me too long as I am overwhelmed with al lot of other activities at the moment. |

MayorOfEdmonton:Hi, what was the reason they asked for bank statements please? Dis she not submit a reference letter initially stating her pay? What happens if someone no longer has bank statements from that period. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by CornOak(m): 11:05pm On Jul 27, 2025 |
Beepurple:Yes, you're overlooking your English Proficiency. With this ielts score, you're leaving a lot of points on the table. Your next agenda should be to rewrite your English test and max it out, this should propel your score significantly. In addition, if you truly want the PR, learning French might be the sure ticket as your NOC is not targeted by IRCC at the moment. Good luck. |

Hi everyone, I would like to enter the express entry pool. My foreign work experience is with a startup that delays employees salary payment for months. Will this be an issue when providing proof of employment such as account statement that shows my irregular salary payments? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by affoncad: 8:42am On Jul 28, 2025 |
Funky123:Please let’s follow the conversation before commenting. The original question was: “Has anyone used cash or a Stocks and Shares ISA as POF (Proof of Funds)?” Just to clarify, cash or a Stocks and Shares ISA are not accepted by IRCC as valid proof of funds. Mutual funds and treasury bills are a different topic altogether, so it’s important to understand the difference. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by affoncad: 9:57am On Jul 28, 2025 |
FYTnRUN:The first document IRCC requests as proof of employment when applying for PR after ITA is a reference letter from the company, not your salary account. However, the visa officer may request additional documents later, depending on your case, such as payslips, salary deposits into your account, and tax documents. Any delays in salary payments can also be explained, if necessary.

Jacknn:I submitted an application to SINP but I didn’t get anything from them because my education and job experience doesn’t match. Sinp requires a matching job experience and education . In my opinion, you stand a better chance with Manitoba specific healthcare draw. Last year Manitoba issue LAA to candidate with the minimum of 514 points. But recently sinp refunded some people’s full application fee. If you have funds for 1 , go for Manitoba instead of SINP. Moreover it’s been a while SINP invited noc 33102 . I know this because I applied for it before my consultant said they don’t invite noc 33102 often in sask. |

affoncad:Yeah the employment reference letter is primary. Just to cover the possible expectations that i have to give additional proof, I need to know if i would still have a chance and if I do, what I can do. But like u said, an explanation would help for the gap in payments |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by affoncad: 9:32am On Jul 29, 2025 |
FYTnRUN:So how many months have you worked without pay? IRCC requires that eligible work experience must be paid. If you’ve been working for several months without receiving regular salary, it may raise concerns. In such a case, you should request a letter from your employer confirming that the salary is delayed, that the position is paid . |

Farawayman:It is actually not a red flag if the funds have been there for more than 6 months. They don’t care. If it’s less than 6 months, then you’d have to explain how you got the money. Also, they don’t tie your income with POF. The income is only to verify your work experience. That serves as evidence you got paid, meaning that you worked. Cc. islabelle |

Judasiscarriot:If you are an un-accompanying in the application, she may sponsor you upon her arrival in Canada. In fact, there is even an option to become an accompanying again after COPR, when the application for PR is in process |
