I've been to Abuja, the road are good, but not for formula 1 used.
These cars ain't those shock- absolver kind of cars. Except they want to start making roads for the event separately and starting now
is not a must to use the roads a race circuit are built purposely for that purpose, the time frame and how realistic they are is more important

That's an outstanding feet as Formular 1 targets zero carbon emissions by 2030, reaching the sustainability development goals.
Definitely a botted response because I am struggling to see how they relate.

I'm so interested in this...
Sponsors, here I am.
You won't regret it.
With just a week training, practicing and rehearsing, I bet, I will drag, drift, speed and flight with a car.

You need to visit Abuja city centre, no single Port Hole, the only obstacle is speed bumps on some junctions that could easily be removed if necessary. You stay in Oshogbo all your life attacking Igbos on Nairaland without travelling around the country like them. Landlord travel and see, Abuja has the roads to host a grand prix
Even if Abuja were to host the grand prix, a road course (term for race track for an event like that) has to be designed and built from scratch. Not the smooth roads of Abuja that you're talking about.

And truly, Abuja have sweet roads that makes journeying fun.

This is commendable if it pulls through, I pray cows won't interrupt the race
If it "pulls through", how is it commendable?

It's a great news,
The Europeans create sport and used it to create employment to their youth, if this can be replicated here, it would be a great relief for the youth.
Do European leaders looters steal money for paying teachers and employing workers to make water available, like Wike is doing in Abuja?

What is the point of running when you are unable to crawl huh

Have you ever been to Abuja?

Honestly sometimes I wonder what I’m doing on this forum.
Do you think that F1 is done on regular roads?
Re: Abuja Seeks To Host F1 Grand Prix, Targets First African Race Since 1993 by Movingname1: 10:55am On Jul 24, 2025
As someone who has watched a lot of F1 races in person I can categorically tell you that no Nigerian city has the capacity to host an F1 race .
We don’t have a circuit so it will have to be a street race .
Public roads will need to be modified to meet FIA standards, including widening sections, creating tight corners, and ensuring long straights plus ofcourse resurfacing the roads .Then we will need at least 30 thousand hotel rooms for the duration of the race .Airport capacity will need to be expanded to accommodate flights .
Hospitals and emergency services will need to be upgraded .
Most importantly will be the Garage support which is totally non existent in Nigeria.

This is so incorrect. There's technology around to help do this. It's a matter of importing them and put into use.
Can you please name the technology?

Wetin concern F1 with technology?

F1 is done on a special race circuit built specifically for that purpose.

It is not done on regular roads.

This can be possible in the year 2050 by which time we would have had a semblance of good roads and proper healthcare wink

It's good to start planning early sha

Modified

You see why we have problems in this country undecided everyone quoting me are talking about ABUJA SMOOTH ROADS and leaving out the most important aspect of such a competition which is PROPER HEALTHCARE cry

So what happens when two racers crash into each other or a barrier 🚧 and their vehicles catch on fire? Airlift them to London or France to get medical treatment?

Kai! No wonder we keep voting in the kind of leaders we have. Truly our people are yet to evolve even on top all the education we claim to have angry
I understand your passion for criticism but you need to work on your mentality a bit, dwell much on solution than problem.

Why is your life full.of negativity and complain. Don't you know that all these will.be built. Just like Olympic been built by host country. Stop your negativity about Nigeria all the time as if you have another country yo go.

I almost shed tears seeing wat oil money is doing in Abuja and ND delta in bad roads common east west road is in shambles 4 years...
