If obi and igbos really want to be president soonest, they need to bury the choice of obi running in 2027, sit down with Atiku with commitment of handing over to obi and let him contest with either a south east or preferable a south south candidate and obi and igbos support them either four or eight years cos if Atiku wins, he will do eight years and obi take over. Atiku may have a chance except he didn't get atleast 70% in the north. Atiku will never step down for any southerner cos he knows he will surely win any primary conducted by ADC. Infact he won't even share dollars this time around cos he will easily win. Most ADC members now are his loyalist.

You’re right to the extent that Peter Obi doesn’t have the structure to protect his votes from being stolen by veterans in the game of the Nigerian style of politics! And for avoidance of doubt and in this instance, by veterans in the game i’m referring to Atiku and Tinubu!

I’m of the firm belief that Peter Obi won the last presidential election….ie, got the highest number of validly cast votes, but the prowess of the Tinubu/APC rigging machinery was just too much for him to overcome and it found fertile ground in the corrupt-ridden and poverty stricken environment of Nigerian partisan politics! They didn’t just rig him out of contention, but made sure to rig him into 3rd to ensure there was no chance in hell of him springing a surprise comeback through the courts!

How does these obi supporters even want him to win the presidency without loyal footsoildiers in the vast north? The only way to aso rock is for obi to negotiate for power and align with the northern power brokers who will in turn soften his path to the presidency only southern youths can't give him the presidency. Nigeria is not a normal country where doing only the right things and having clean records gets u the presidency.

Spot on with the bolded! They rigged in Lagos but were unprepared for the high level of votes he eventually got in the state! As they were rigging, na so more and more votes for Peter Obi just dey pour in, and in the end they were inundated with LP votes and their rigging efforts came to nought! But that’s just part one of the story! In part two, the gubernatorial election, they came prepared and were ready for action! They went for broke, throwing everything they had into the rigging effort….voter intimidation, tribalism, ballot box snatching, and just about anything else they could deploy to ensure Sanwo-Olu and APC emerged ‘victorious’!
