The Op said he watched clips of Ekitike but don't understand how Liverpool plays. Liverpool don't use traditional No. 9. They use players that can link up play and also drop deep. Fast on the ball, dribbles..... Does that tell you about a particular player called Firmino? If we use traditional No. 9 like Gyokeres or are goal poachers, we would have approached him. Players with Ekitike, Firmino skills set are very rare.

Everybody except you knows that Dallas is a study player that wants to score all the goals. He only passes when the angle or chances are limited.
If you are truly a football fan you will remember what transpired between sallah and Saio Mani in one of the EPL matches that Mani was shouting at him for not passing a clear scoring chance.
That act contributed to what ruined their relationship before Sadie mani eventually left Liverpool for Bayern.

At Napoli, he was serially ridiculed by the team, management and the so called team mates that were trying to shake him. You cannot know better than him in terms of why he decided to snub them and I do not think pride is a reason.
