This happened few weeks ago, it started like heat rashes and after several medications, it was disappeared but the scare refused to change to his original color.

people said it called Nla.

even the baby hair is removing.
I have tried several medications including Yoruba agbo.
it is painless to the baby right but I don't like the color of his skin.
Pls what is the solution?
Stop every other cream or lotion that you are using for him and start using palm kernel oil, it will normalise with time

It's called "eela" in Yoruba. Don't give the baby agbo to drink o, abeg. Get this red acalypha flower and boil it. Allow it to cool, then mix with the bath water whenever you want to bathe the baby. It works wonders.

It's not the first and it definitely won't be the last. It's a regular occurrence in babies, though I must admit that it's really prominent on this baby. Las las babies with it will be alright, but you must treat it properly.

Aunty, go get Sebamed baby soap and lotion, you will see good results within a week.
Please stop suffering that baby and discontinue every other baby lotion you are using. This is your first child I presume, some of us had the same experiences with our first child and we learnt from our small cosmetic mistake.

It's called Nla or Nta.

It doesn't require oyibo drugs o. It needs traditional methods. I think they use nzu (clay) and some other herbs to cure it.

Call your mother or mother in-law, they should know about it.

Sadly, there are too many kids on Nairaland. They are unable to tell when to joke and when to be serious?

Someone commented just before mine saying it’s ‘scabies’, you can imaging?

Use Sebamed Special Healing Cream. Buy from a reputable pharmacy or supermarket store cos there are lots of fakes.

It's scarce and quite pricey but if you can obtain it, your baby's skin condition will be gone in about two weeks, and it will regenerate his skin, and even out their complexion.

Take that child to the hospital to see if there is any underlying health issues besides skin problem. Expired or adulterated drugs can also do this on the skin. Be fast.
