I believe we have alot of football lovers in this great forum, expecially people who can easily Predict football outcome base on The club strength. All though, many care argues but never been on the field before to understand how it works.

Now, let us see if you really understand football very well, Can you guess who of this A,B,C play can make use of this pass successfully?

I will pass to B as long as it is not Jackson, Hujlund or Nunez
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by Amotolongbo(f):
I could have passed to B but I don’t trust the referee, he could intercept the killer pass. The ref looks like Howard Webb and the opponent’s jersey looks like that of Manchester United.

I will pass to C so that he can drive and square play to B.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by brain54(m): 5:06pm On Jul 25, 2025
The clear option should be b...

It's difficult to get a clean pass to c from that angle.

And it's a counter attack so passing sideways to a will kill the momentum and element of fast and surprise attack.

B is the best option. He is also in the best position!
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by DMCY: 5:17pm On Jul 25, 2025
The best option is C. That’s where through pass comes in…
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by allen113: 5:27pm On Jul 25, 2025
I will pass to who Palmer passed to in that match KDH.(B)

To C. That should create the most chance for the team.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by Pootle:
B is a normal pass while C is a through ball with the chances of winning the ball slim so B is a clear cut pass, A reset the game and for B to utilize the ball he must have a good ball control, C has to be a good runner to get the ball and lay a pass for B
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by YeyeGbami: 5:38pm On Jul 25, 2025
Through ball for B, na up through ball o cos dem go slide for down through.

Or you give A , make he then give C.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by Caleycash(m): 5:39pm On Jul 25, 2025
C is the best option if B can still keep the same speed and momentum, he will square play to B to finish very easily.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by helinues:
Na control angle. Through pass to B. Ps station. Lol

C might be a bad option as there are 2 players on him. But B is just with a man. By the time C get the ball, the defenders might have closed up with him

The B is onside, he can make a run to score the goal
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by CorperKola: 5:39pm On Jul 25, 2025
There are so many factors, you may know that The B guy isnt that fast
And the C guy gives option of square playing to B on the box

Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by Babatunjo: 5:39pm On Jul 25, 2025
It's C of course. B will loose the ball. Either the defenders tackle him. . . . Or he shoots early towards keeper and loses the ball.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by fasho01(m): 5:40pm On Jul 25, 2025
Not too obvious at first, but C has a better advantage to square on from the flank and cause the opponent real damage.

The obvious pass to B will be dependent on who the player is. Definitely not any of the players in my dear Man Utd tongue

That was Chelsea's 4th Goal. Cole Palmer passed the delicious ball to Drewsbry-Hall which lead to the 4th Goal. So I would definitely pass to B who has a better advantage of Scoring.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by SmartyPants(m): 5:40pm On Jul 25, 2025
It all depends on the nature of the players.

A pass to B played through the channel of C is the best pass. However, this is only true if it is a striker like Osimhen. If it is a striker like Zirkzee, delay the pass by running with the ball or by passing to A and then creating a run to create more options.

Actually, C is the worst option here because the middle defender has already anticipated that pass, and he has a head start. By the time C receives the ball, he will have one defender waiting for him in front and another closing on him. Big mistake.

It is B or A.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by alizma: 5:41pm On Jul 25, 2025
B then B should send it to C while he reposition himself.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by Empresa: 5:41pm On Jul 25, 2025
C is the best option, if the Centre back attempts to defend the ball, he will free up the center forward
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by yemmit90: 5:41pm On Jul 25, 2025
C is the best option here, he will freely enter the box and score compare to B that could be close mark by the two defenders and the goalkeeper.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by dheolexaone(f): 5:41pm On Jul 25, 2025
Player C is most likely to successfully make use of this pass. The reason is that Player C is in an open position, with a clear path toward the goal and less immediate pressure from the opposing defenders compared to Players A and B.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by fmlala: 5:42pm On Jul 25, 2025
B of course, he is well postioned than others on the field
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by obaidan:
the pass should go to C(hopefully Estevao or Neto)
Player B should then advance his run towards the left part of the pitch, thereby taking the 2 red players around him away from action
Then the passer and player A will overload the space that will be created by the red player in front of them, as he tries to cover player C
Player C finally does a cut backof the ball for either player A or the passer(hopefully that will be Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer) to get the job done
Then the scoreboard changes to Arsenal 0 -1 Chelsea

Keypoint: it is essential that the space/distance player A and player B continues to increase, so that the red players going with B are so taken out of the real business, so that player A or the passer will have enough space to run David Raya inside mud
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by WYZAD(m): 5:43pm On Jul 25, 2025
B has no business in this move.
Pass d ball to A and it will distract and slow down d speed of d players closing C down. They will have to focus on B while A pushes to ball to C who in turn will square play to d initiator of d attack by the time they would have moved d ball within 23yards to 20yards to goal.
The initiator of d attack will be d goal scorer.

I am passing to C with a through ball. He can do a Saka and cut into the left or tee the ball.
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by tolu4you: 5:44pm On Jul 25, 2025
If A has sense, i will pass to him. He is in better position

Rhema04:

wrong answer... Pass to C to remove the focus from B and C will have a successful assist if the striker is not Jackson or Hojlund like you said... From my experience as a street football though and also my personal opinion ✌️ and Nunez is not even an option 😁
Re: As A Footballer Who Are You Passing This Too? by santopelele(m): 5:45pm On Jul 25, 2025
C offcourse, because he is in the right position to get the ball faster
