The distance between the US and the runner ups is always very wide.

APC- led government in a decade plus justification of failure in governance.
When PDP was in power for 16 years was Nigeria one of the top 20? Show workings please.

Edunโ€™s honesty is welcome, but donโ€™t romanticize 2013โ€“2014. That growth barely helped most Nigerians. The real issue now is if the government will push serious reforms, corruption, energy, security, not just repeat โ€œprivate sector will drive growth.โ€
It is today's APC poverty that has destroyed Nigeria. Nigeria has never been this bad. 2013 - 2024 was our last golden year compare to what we have now. List the sins of PDP government, that APC has not doubled and amplified.

Whatever happened to South Africa that used to attend G20 meetings back then. Blacks have taken over the economy and they are gradually receding economically.
LMAO grin grin grin grin

Self- hate , white- worship, poor education and ofcourse envy are the reasons behind your ill- informed comment grin grin grin grin

1. The G20 was formed in 1999 and that's when South Africa became a member ......white rule ended in 1994 in South Africa grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

2. The ANC inherited a bankrupt economy ( make Google your friend wink) and grew it to what has become the envy of Africans like you cheesy

3. Google who the current and first Neg*ro*e president of the G20 is and weep grin grin grin grin grin grin

4. Post covid ; every country has become a shadow of itself ....expose yourself to global economic and political issues before embarrassing yourself and your country grin grin grin

Many of us don't deny APC has failed. they have.

But let's be honest, we were a broke ass nation before Buhari thought of contesting for president, heck before tinubu thought of running for lagos governor , or even before he entered politics. The problem is, our leaders no dey think long term, and followers want good things now...because they don't trust government to run the show well.

Now it is good to have some skepticism of government...but the lack of long term thinking, the longing for goodies, the idea that we must live well because we are an oil rich nation (and woe betide the leader who tells the cold truth)...is why we have massive debts, poverty, corruption and lack of development and indirectly gunmen and boko and herdsmen running around creating havoc.

The day we accept we are poor and we need to work towards getting rich is the day we start going to being a developed nation. But so far we don't want to accept we are poor. SO, make we continue.

When they romanticize the 2013-2015 era, I keep asking myself whether it wasn't the same era that many states and federal government had difficulty paying staff salaries. In that same era Nigeria missed out on debt repayment deadlines. Debts to GENCOs were accruing and airlines couldn't repatriate their funds because we could not provide them with dollars.

What is surprising is that the UK is only a few hundred billion from catching up with Japan, and is around $600 billion ahead of France.

I have always wondered how the UK has such high GDP.

These days, you can hardly find anything anywhere that is is 'Made in England' or 'Made in the UK',yet its GDPis nearly 20% more than France. It is quite an achievement.

However, despite a high GDP, it has the most complaining people on planet earth smiley

If you check you tube, you would think it is worse than Somalia the way people there whinge non stop.
UK gdp for real is not bigger than that of France, its because France does not include black market or illegal transaction which UK does that is why the UK comes out bigger ,you can do your research on this .

Don't be ignorant! Yes! The US borrow to stay much more richer and powerful than the people they borrow from. It like like this: Dangote comes to you to borrow 1m, you will gladly give him knowing fully well that if he didn't pay back, he can always put free fuel fuel in your car, stock your house with sugar, salt, spaghetti etc, and even supply some cements when you need it.
