Since they have zoned it to the South, Makinde should get the presidential ticket or Wike could even take it, since Atiku is no longer in the picture and has been angry and bitter, blaming Atiku for his loss in 2023

The southern votes must be balkanize

If you are not too young, you should know that the tickets of the 2 major parties that contested the 1999 presidential elections were micro zoned to the South West to appease the Yorubas after the military powers that be from the North annulled Abiola's election and also murdered him. So it was only natural that 2 Yoruba men slugged it out.

So it is not the same case as a Makinde accepting to be a spoiler in an election he knows he doesn't even stand a chance. I do not think he is that slow.

Name one northerner today who can divide Atiku's votes apart from Kwankwaso and we all know Kwankwaso's influence is largely limited to Kano State.

Fayose is certainly on Nairaland. He is right though, PDP is dead.

PDP is now APC. they have morphed into APC. Makinde was to be used as a placeholder should Atiku try to contest there but since the coaliiton, that plan has been rendered useless, and I heard Makinde has aborted plans to contest in 2027 presidential election under PDP which was the original plan.

Bala Mohammed can divide Atiku votes in Bauchi/ Gombe axis. Fintiri can also divide Atiku votes in Adamawa/ Taraba Axis. Senator Dankwambo is also very strong in Gombe/ Bauchi.
