Today, we will be officially renaming streets in honour of the legacies”

These streets are namely:

Ilajẹ road ❌ - King Sunny Ade road ✅

Bariga Road ❌ - Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way ✅

Community Road Akoka ❌ - Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu Road ✅

Ajidagan Street ❌ - Olamide Adedeji (Baddo) Street ✅

Charly Boy Bus Stop ❌- Baddo Bus Stop ✅

Ifeanyi Street ❌ - Abolore Akande (9ice) Street ✅

Ayodele Street, Ladi-Lak ❌ - Tony Tetuila Street ✅

Ilojo Crescent, Obanikoro ❌ - Bukayo Saka Street ✅

The next is to rename some market that their name has no link to the people of Lagos state.

It is high time Alaba market is changed to reflect the history of the people of Ojo. There nothing in Yoruba and Awori dialect that bears Alaba.

Aba in Yoruba means living space in a village. Alaba should mean owner of Aba. That name probably came from the time that place was still a village. Don't let us get ahead of ourselves because of these tribal things

Nothing will change. Oregun road renamed kudirat Abiola road almost 30years ago is still called Oregun road by most people. Bus conductors will continue to call it Charly boy bus stop.it will also not remove a kobo from his account
