The earlier you begin to realize that the South-South is not one homogeneous group, the better for you. They are incredibly diverse.

They don’t speak one language.

In fact, the majority of the entire south south region not all, as you're implying have often aligned with the South-East in their voting patterns. That’s not going to suddenly change in 2027 just because Tinubu is president and Akpabio is senate president or because Wike is minister of FCT

This is the same Tinubu who led the gang-up against Goodluck Jonathan, an Ijaw man from the South-South, to truncate the South’s opportunity to complete an unbroken eight-year tenure.

You’re in for a serious disappointment, big time
Akpabio is even from a minority group of tribe in ,Akwaibom state. That was why his influence on his successor then was absolutely inconsequential.

Your analogy is wrong, have you noticed that over 90% of northern elite are on air almost every day stylishly criticizing Tinubu, that shows you that north has gone. Fayose just confirmed it.

Atiku/Obi will send PBAT parking and you know it

This is the best way to reply those stubborn urchins.

I live here in the north central...I am from the east.

I know the feelings down here,I see and feel the poverty rate here and I know what people are saying here.

If the opposition can work together,I can assure u guys that Tinubu is a goner. The northern region has been retuned and rewired politically.

The Eastern region can't trust Tinubu for anything especially now that he has polarised the country using tribalism.

The south south is like the citizens against the governors. Watch out how it pans out.

E go rugged.
The north central will vote Tinubu sir. Obi can only win two states there

10 political elites joining APC while 10 million people are angry with the government in its terrible performance.

10,million against a few corrupt elites, the result is clear in democracy, game of numbers.
Those angry people won't vote obi or Atiku. They will rather divide votes

So 90% of the Northern elites have been speaking against this government. Please where did you get that statistics from?

They started disaligning themselves from SE since 2019. Can't you see how they have been sharing votes? Obi didn't get the bloc votes you guys predicted.

The north central have always voted based on religious considerations and patronage. They hardly vote based on competence. They usually vote a southern candidate or someone pro Christian. They vote someone that is not aligned to Islamic radicalism, that is liberal and will not marginalize them. They voted Tinubu at the height of Muslim Muslim noise and now that those fears are allayed and he has spoilt them with political rewards, they will vote him more.

Gud 2 know, buh you didnt proof me wrong,

North criticize Tinubu is not the deciding Factor, Options are what will decide the politics North would play. No region adheres to politics like North

when you say North as gone, Gone to where huh? Atiku seems to be the only Name from that side and i explained why Atiku won't suite the North 2027,. show us Why North would risk 2031 for Atiku now

If Atiku/obi coalition didnt displace a failed Buhari after all the 1st term shege, why will Atiku and Obi work again The brain behind Buhari re election 2019

doing things the same way But you expect different "Results" are you serious

its not a consideration maybe "rule out", the only way Obi/Atiku coalition could have given a different outcome,

I dont believe we can do things the same way and achieve different results

This is a response to Mr. Fayose regarding his statement: “2027: Tinubu Has Taken Over the South, He Needs Little Votes From the North.”

Atiku has stepped aside and left the PDP for those of you who sabotaged it—likely for financial benefits from Tinubu—ultimately burying your political careers in Nigeria for good. As things stand today, none of you who sold out the PDP for peanuts can even win a councillorship election in your own wards, including Wike, Ugwuanyi, and others.

So please, let Atiku be. You claim Tinubu has "captured the South" and only needs a few votes from the North—but which South are you referring to? You deliberately avoid specifics, because we all know the South-South and South-East are no-go areas for Tinubu. And we have people from those regions on Nairaland who can confirm this—no jokes. Obi dominates both zones, whether you like it or not—that’s the plain truth.

Now you admit Tinubu has lost the North, yet you claim Obi will come second. So you’re suggesting Obi will get most of his votes from the North to come second? That’s laughable. The truth is, you're clearly afraid of Atiku. You're only pushing for Obi to contest so Atiku won't gather enough votes from the South.

But let’s be honest—Atiku already has the North locked down. He only needs a reasonable showing in the South. And with Obi’s on the same ticket with Atiku, then Obi tsunami in the South, PBAT is finished. All of you will be politically retired and likely paying visits to the EFCC.

So just relax. After the 2027 elections, many of you corrupt politicians will face the kind of prison system we see in El Salvador. You’ll learn the hard way.

Could you please confirm to me anywhere in the South-South or south east were the people are eager and want to vote Tinubu for second term? None.
Can you confirm if the Yorubas will prefer to vote Atiku against Tinubu? If no.

Then why do feel north to vote for Tinubu against their son, dey play. The North know that Tinubu can never handover power to them. So failure president is a goner

By rigging right?

{quote author=helinues post=136230884]Except South East, both South West and South West are intact for president Tinubu's reelection.

Atiku's presidency in those 2 regions can never sell.

Peter Obi's presidency in those 2 regions can never sell as well as Peter Obi's supporters have scattered things for him. Edo state governor for example will do everything possible not to allow Atiku or Peter Obi to get much votes from the state
Obi will defeat Atiku in Adamawa and in the North.

Obi has South South and South East on lockdown

Peter Obi is the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Atiku blew his chances when he should have suppported GEJ and become president when it returned to the North

So you think educated Southern Nigeria will vote for Tinubu that has failed woefully because of politicians defecting to APC against Obi who has been showing workings?

Tinubu is gone by 2027. The reason you're rooting for Atiku is to fall back on if Tinubu cannot have it, then certainly not Obi. You're looking for consolation

IF Atiku is what the coalition have to present 2027, then they've given the North no choice, North won't renege on "Zoning Agreement" 2031 that comes with complete 8yrs is worth more than Atiku's 4yrs disruption

Should the coalition present Obi, south will vote Obi no doubt But the north wont cos Obi carries two term .. a threat a 2031 North comeback

The only way an Atiku and Obi alignment can defeat Tinubu is if Atiku play vice to OBi But that not possible ..... Zoning is the big challenge here

Tinubu knows alls this things and he is praying the coalition never see beyond Obi or Atiku.

Only GEJ have the capacity, popularity and one term tenure that suites All sides .... Tinubu is trusting Nigerians will never see beyond their nose
There was zoning in 2023 yet, millions of people voted Atiku. The north will vote the north. Atiku is likely to win this election..
