They voted for Obi but Obi is not in president. We should all enjoy emi lo kan now. It's a good move. Let everybody develop their own countries
If PO were a good politician with a strategy, he could have transformed APGA into a respected regional party and then built an alliance with other regional parties to secure an election victory. Instead, PO jumped from one party to another, leaving room for Tinubu and Buhari to build a political party that will destroy Nigeria

I believe this is the time many of the diasporas start to send their wealth back home. Even if their children will remain over there.

These laws are great signs for them to strategize.

In as much as a lot of people view this new development as a very big issue, I am seeing this as a big opportunity for those here in Nigeria.

This is because definitely many people will be coming back soon and that will mean more population, more inflow of cash into the circulation and better opportunities for those at home who choose to acquire skills and take position before all these starts happening.

So it is your choice, wake up and do this from a positive perspective.

Deport them all. Many of them voted for Tinubu and ran away. They should come and enjoy what they voted for
Many of them did not vote for Tinubu. In fact, many ran away due to frustration of not being able to change the bad leadership of APC government.

The UK is supposed to act as a big brother to Nigeria but they always looking for ways to deport Nigerians and it's not good. France doesn't behave like this to French speaking countries in Africa.
These category of workers should be protected and given other forms of Visa.
And guess what, they’ve turned the country to a mess.

France is now riddled with crime by blacks and Arab immigrants.

When we say fight to make your own dominant environment workable, liveable and comfortable for you and your children....we are called local champions wink. This is what happens when your home is a mess ,no matter where you run to people will treat you as they see your home. The more chaotic and destructive your home is, the less people take you seriously or acccord you any sort of respect even if you're a Dr or well -known soccer player ( at most you'll feel and see that you're just being tolerated grin grin). Look at your passport ranking and you'll get a clue of how you'll be treated or perceived out there wink
Why do you people speak so hatefully of your country? Did they tell you that this was targeted at Nigerians? This is a UK general policy to reduce immigration and reserve jobs for their citizens. They may change the policy anytime if they discover that there is shortage of labour.

Nigerians are not the largest immigrants in the UK. There are lots and lots of Indians, Pakistani and a lot more Asians.

They are also part of the problem. What frustration is there? Most of them wanted change but are not ready to pay the price for it.

Nope! He said the black race is a defeated race that can't fix their problems but are waiting for the Messiah to come and save them and that definitely doesn't sound like black SA or Americans. Never !

We definitely have problems like every African but we refuse to leave our problems or complain while doing nothing to change how the government does things . You people choose to run away from your problems instead of bending together and you want to make this a black thing ? grin grin grin.

And I repeat, every African country has challenges and failures but we also have a lot of wins and progress ,unlike you we refuse to only look at our faults like a defeated people and try to project these feelings on other blacks. Instead we criticise ourselves objectively and look for new solutions within South Africa and partner with outsiders if we must...the recent land issue has proved just that ( with the refugee attention seekers grin). But we have never ever put our hopes on foreign lands or wait for some political Messiah to come and save us ,infact we reject people like Malema who think they can be the Messiahs of black SA.

You are just mad because you see no future in your Nigeria and Africa, and despise us for seeing the trouble we are in but also fighting for a better future for ourselves as Africans in Africa wink.

Waking up in foreign lands? grin grin grin. Nope, we are doing our awakening here in our own dominant environment where we can fail and own it and triumph and celebrate openly wink

build it is too vague. What you should be clamoring for is build the minds first before you build any infrastructure. Nigerians need proper and holistic re-orientation. The abnormalities in cash first without proper value has to be destroyed.

My advice to Nigerian folks is to look elsewhere instead of waiting to be deported.

There are jobs in neighboring countries around UK, like Spain, Ireland, etc

Just look for an alternative location but don't think of coming back to Nigeria, you have made it there, keep pushing, never give up!

One of the things I've noticed about nairaland is the manner in which some individuals rush to open threads despite having limited information about a lot of things especially news regarding the UK and Nigerians because a lot of people have cultivated this unknown hatred for fellow Nigerians who already left Nigeria I.e living in the UK.

Nobody is risking any deportation. Yes, it's true that lots of changes have been made but these changes provides loads of opportunities if you know your way in the UK and the smart ones are already finding their ways.

Few days before the 22nd of July which is the day the new rules took effect, lots of NHS Trusts sent out certificates of sponsorship to their employees both old and new including those who might need it and are Bank staff. I know a lot of them. In fact, a close friend got an offer on the 21st of July with sponsorship.

The only challenge is just the salary threshold thing which has been increased but like I said, if you know your ways it's just an opportunity for greater things but these people will come here and create topics just to show the gullible ones that those in the UK are going through this and that and they will all jump in to comment. Look at the kinds of comments that are being dropped here, it's mind blowing and baffling.

Sometime last year, I came across a similar topic here and I took my time to explain to someone how as a student in the UK who worked 20hrs a week I was able to save a lot of money, he was shocked because there are lots of things people don't know about until you meet the right people and you find yourself in the right environment.

Please, you people should do better. If you must create topics like these, also invest same amount of time you invested in writing things like these to write about the opportunities as well.

Thank you.
stop writing trash, the new rules affected almost everyone in UK. Most immigrants on cos are under care visa that is practically impossible to renew for people that got their visa after April 2024, 97% companies can afford 33k salary for care visa which is the same salary as a manager. In 2028 care visa will be completed scrapped. Please don't deceive people here
