If Peter Obi had been mobbed or hurt during his visit to Benin, everyone saying rubbish about the Governor would still be the ones accusing him of not providing adequate security for political opposition.

Please advice the Governor of Edo State to direct the Institution to refund Mr Peter Obi's handout since you said the handout is not in anyway compared to what the Government institutionally provide every year in the budget, to support that Institution.

Being right or wrong is strictly about the interest of the person reporting , don't follow any of these selfish politicians

Comprehension is far from many people on this platform. Listen to Adam Oshiomole, he made a lot of sense here. I am not a politician but I know that this is the standard practice.

Informing the governor of your visit to his state is not to seek his permission but for him to know that you were there.

If he fails to inform him and anything of security concern happens to him (God forbid), the most he would do as the governor is to order an investigation into what actually happened and why it happened, and remember, the outcome of the investigation would never restore the damage that must have been done.

But if the governor was informed of the visit, it does not matter if he was in opposition, the governor would have a duty to provide him with logistics and security to make his visit to the state a safe and memorable one.

Of course you are free to say he is loved by all and nothing can happen to him but don't forget that even the best person in the country will still have his own enemies especially if he is politically exposed.

At least Mr Peter Obi should be commended for his charity donation and not ridiculed.

That's the nonsense spirit of entitlement of our politicians. So Oshiomhole went to Enugu, and he wants the state government to use taxpayers' money to fuel cars and provide security for him because he was a former governor.

The government of Edo pays him a pension, and he receives a salary from the Senate. As a former governor, the Edo state government changes his cars for him and provides security and the Senate also provides a car and security for him.
