What APC did in 2022, does it look like a primary? Imagine people coming on stage to say I'm stepping down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the day of the primary election? All his cronies entered into the race and disrupted the process just because of money and bias; and we couldn't get a credible candidate? Our law doesn't allow for independent candidates too. See the primary proceed of the American election? There are debates, talks, cacus meetings, all these are well televised. We know how much each candidate is raising and spending.

Peter Obi has always been a minority candidate. Even when he became governor, he never got 50%. The irony is that you accuse Tinubu of not being the president of the country because he only got 37% but Obi won Anambra with 34%. Yet the man who got 25% and this rejected by 75% of Nigerians is loved by the people of Nigeria?

So when you say loved by the people, in none of his elections has ever won the majority vote! Either state or Presidential.

Since he got 95% of Ibo votes in the presidential elections of 2023, at best you can say loved by Ibo people. Because as afar as Nigerians, he only got 25% of the votes in 2023.

Tinubu won 5 States
Atiku won 3 States.

Obi won southern Nigeria in 2023 and would have been the President if the north didn't rescue Tinubu.
