When Tinubu and Buhari could not form an alliance in 2011 because Tinubu was interested in presidency as well as Buhari, the PDP defeated both CPC and ACN. That taught them a lesson that one had to step-down for the other.

Fast-forward to 2014, they formed APC with Tinubu remaining patient while supporting Buhari. Tinubu's patience did not mean he was not interested in becoming president. He had to wait and in his place, supported an neophyte in the person of Osinbajo.The rest is now history.

Following from above, Peter Obi should support Atiku to do one term as President. With that arrangement APC will be defeated by 12.00 non.
Then in 2031, he can run as president for 8 years.
He can even beat his chest to say "Emolikan" in Igbo. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Obi waiting till 2031, if not Obi has no other route to presidency.

If Obi runs alone in LP or other party, APC will win again. Then come 2031, power will go back to the North. That means waiting till 2039, who knows who will be alive by then and infact Obi woukd have been 79 or 80 self, and too old to have a say.

My opinion ... nobody pays me to express it. However it is the bitter ruth that may be too bitter a pill for some people to swallow.

Obi needs to work with Atiku so that the coalition will not fail.


But the danger is, if Atiku fails like Buhari and Tinubu, it will destroy Peter Obi's chance of emerging President if he supports Atiku.


Honestly, the whole thing looks confusing.

Meanwhile, Tinubu didn't exercise patience, he was struggling to become running mate and got rejected severally, he only tried the Buhari support route as a last desperate move and it later worked out for him

If Segun Showunmi said on TV that Obi was lobbying to be Atiku’s VP in 2022 and Atiku told Obi that he would not be his VP and as a result Obi left PDP, then I believe. This was before the primaries even started.

Segun showunmi knows everything about what transpired. For him to say so on Tv, I believe him.
