There's no core if they play 2 man midfield or 4141 to accommodate writz. Wait to see this formation and tell me they will not swallow goals

3 man midfield better than 2 man midfield and their fullbacks are not defensively good especially frimpong.

So much ignorance on this thread. Gravenbech, Macalister and Wirtz is basically an upgrade from last season. It's an exercise in futility waiting for Wirtz to flop. It's basically impossible. I really want us to complete the Xavi Simmons transfer. That's a player that will actually upgrade that 10 position. Palmer should be moved to the wings permanently.

We gat so many deadwoods to get rid of yet we haven't sold any significant one. Sterling, Jackson,Kdh, Disasi, Chalobah, etc

MacAllister does it better. It's between Szboszlai and Wirtz...Liverpool have at least 2 players for each position...It's only in the CB department where they're light.

szobozslai has a work rate .. which is needed in that midfield , just his passes are not sublime unlike macallister and Ryan which is the point of bringing wirtz in the team .

I still don't know wirtz work rate I never watched once at Leverkusen, if he has a low work rate, I feel slot would employ a double 10 just to accommodate wirtz which means no striker.. ekitike might then have a problem starting matched except the can also play as a ten.

The thing about szobozslai is he's more of a winger than a midfielder . He's got the same issue with Elliot..
