Reloadedisraelp:You are still falling for the same game they are playing and missed my point. Obi is not going for any VP slot. Allow the confusion to continue. My point is don’t be carried away by the noise about Obi to deputize for Atiku cos that is never going to happen. However the discussion like that is necessary to keep APC guessing. The only thing I pray for is for Southern Youths to rise up and defend those votes because our docility is just too annoying. What do you mean thug attack someone in your presence and you allowed him to go instead of hospitalizing the bassstarrd? That thing still Dey pain me till today cos of that woman that almost lost her eyes while men watch. |

stanluiz:You people never learn. 1) Obi is not the Ibo man that will become a president of Nigeria. Not 2027,2031 or year 4000! 2) Northern Governors are eyeing the presidency in 2031, Atiku and Obi are stumbling blocks to that. That is why no northern governor is backing Atiku….even his own state governor. 3) For the same reason they are not supporting Atiku in 2027, they won’t back Obi in 2031…….they want 2031 for themselves, to do that, south must have no excuse for contesting, I.e south must have completed its 8yrs by 2031. 4) the play for Northern governors is to eliminate Atiku and Obi in one chess move. Once they sabotage both Atiku and Obi in 2027, the are both removed from the equation and any other competitors from the south for 2031. If you can’t see or understand the play, you don’t understand politics. The nature of Nigerian politics and our zoning arrangement is that the opportunity to become president is also hinged on established zoning arrangements but also how it affects the ambitions of the people whose support you need particularly governors. A northern politician who misses 2031 will have to wait for 2047! Buhari got Tinubu’s support because he knew he could afford to wait 8yrs, Tinubu shouted “Emilokan” because he knew 2023 was his only slot and if he missed it it won’t come again for another 16yrs. |

stanluiz:The problem with educated NIgerians is that we think education ends in the exam hall. We don’t think, we don’t analyze data, we just talk based on our emotions. Have you ever taken time to study the data, the demographics, the political permutations? Of the 5 Northern PDP governors 4 are either from the NE or NC. Whose turn is it to produce the president when power returns to the north?……NE or NC! If you were a Northern PDP governor, especially those whose terms end in 2031 from NE or NC, why would you support Atiku in 2027 or do anything to give Obi the justification for contesting in 2031? Please let us use our brains. Below is the current spread of governors by party. I hope this explains why ADC has no sitting governor backing them particularly from the North. The difference between Atiku, Obi and Tinubu is simple. Tinubu has many powerful political players even from the opposition whose political interests are served if he is re-elected. Whereas the heavyweight political actors lose if Atiku and Obi succeed. It is for that reason and that reason only that the 2015 coalition worked and this coalition will fail.

MenInsight:True to your moniker, you drew a lot of insights here. Like you, I also believe the coalition already has an agreement on who will be candidate and running mate but that decision is probably known only to a very few people which is why even we the supporters of different candidates are bickering online while they would probably be laughing at us inside. One thing I believe is that Tinubu is very much beatable. |

fergie001:The communication strategy employed by the commentator referenced above, seemingly in service of a political patron, appears to be missing its intended effect with the broader audience. Portraying oneself as an independent political analyst while consistently promoting partisan narratives inevitably undermines both credibility and long-term influence. In a democracy, constructive criticism of any public figure, including Mr. Peter Obi, is both valid and necessary, particularly within Nigeria’s current politically charged and complex environment. That said, it would be disingenuous not to recognize the remarkable impact Mr. Obi made during the 2023 presidential elections. His performance, which defied expectations and broke long-standing political patterns, was historic and shifted the national discourse. With appropriate positioning, Mr. Obi remains a formidable contender, one whose appeal continues to unsettle the political status quo. This includes not just elected figures, but also critics who often betray their unease through persistent efforts to diminish his stature. Indeed, Mr. Obi's sustained presence in public discourse underscores his relevance. In politics, such visibility is rarely accidental, it reflects resonance with the electorate and the embodiment of qualities that many find aspirational. If properly leveraged, this attention can be a political asset, though it must be managed wisely. Mr. Obi’s accomplishments, both in governance and business, speak for themselves. Expecting him to conform to another individual’s strategic preferences or style is unrealistic and unnecessary. He is not obligated to adopt the level of so-called transparency critics demand, particularly when the same standard was not, and still is not, applied to figures such as President Tinubu, whose own transparency record remains a matter of public concern. If the above commentator indeed possessed the insight and political acumen he claims, it is unlikely his contributions would be confined to informal platforms such as Nairaland. Assertions that Mr. Obi did not win the 2023 election lack evidentiary backing and offer no compelling justification for the legitimacy of the results announced by INEC at 4 am in the early hours of that morning. It is becoming increasingly apparent that there is a deliberate effort to weaken Mr. Obi’s political standing ahead of future elections. Acknowledging this agenda openly would be a more honest approach than concealing it under the guise of impartial analysis. |

Akpakomiza2:The way most of your assume Obi is stupid makes me laugh. If he not smart, do you think he will be getting all these attention 247? lol. There is a reason all eyes are in him because he has proven to be difficult bone 🦴 in the their throat. He won’t be getting all these attention and hits if he was an easy fish to fry |

fergie001:See, this is not blind support, but what you see as weakness in Obi, I actually see as strength. Except for the instance of Okwu and Umeh which is not good if that’s how it really happened. But at the end of the day, Obi is still human. Now, about not being decisive with his position, I would actually consider it a strength because it makes it difficult for his enemies to know what he’s truly up to next. Take the present instance of the coalition for instance, if Obi comes openly and resigns from LP, joins the ADC and declares he’s only with the coalition whether head or tail. What do you think will happen? You will agree with me that it will make it easy for Tinubu and his men to now fully deploy to ADC and plot how to stop him. But with his current game, no matter how frustrating you find it, it makes it difficult for his enemies to really know where to wait for him and how to stop him. So, trust me, what you complained of him is strategy, not weakness. I’m like that too. |

ogmask:Thank you for finally saying this. I do not know why people are not seeing it. As a ''south westerner'' myself, I am putting my country's progress before my tribe. Tinubu contested with a muslim-muslim ticket; something that has never been done. Tinubu also led the coalition to unseat a fellow southerner (Jonathan). If Tinubu can emerge with techinicalities, then ADC is very justified to run on the same technicalities. It is not the turn of the south. It is the turn of PROGRESS. |

Penguin2:See what I dislike most about his character. The people closest to him are not telling him how it is. See how you have explained it, the people he listens to, don't tell him the political reality. I hope I am wrong at the end of the day. Why leave Otti hanging? Can't you see Otti has been quiet for a while because he can't understand. The day he defects now, he will be harassed but can you see the confusion. At least, carry your only Governor along, NO. |
