🇺🇸 Fiery scenes unfolded on the tarmac at Denver International Airport on Saturday afternoon as an American Airlines passenger plane caught on fire.

“Flight 3023, you got a lot of smoke,” air traffic control told the pilot, according to local NBC affiliate 9News. “You are actually on fire,” they added moments later.

All 173 passengers and six crew members onboard the plane managed to evacuate safely. One passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

In a statement to the Daily Beast, a spokesperson for American Airlines said that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft experienced a mechanical incident involving the plane’s tires as it attempted to take off at around 2:45 p.m. local time. The plane was bound for Miami International Airport when the malfunction occurred.

In dramatic footage posted to Instagram, passengers can be seen departing the plane through the emergency slide at the front of the plane while flames engulf the landing gear at the rear.

“All customers and crew deplaned safely, and the aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by our maintenance team,” the American Airlines spokesperson said.

“We thank our team members for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for their experience.”

Omg, aviation sector again 🙂.

I pray that God will continue to protect my guy over there who I know flies almost all the time. He is the only reason I still care about that racist country's airspace now. If not for him, I will say I don't give a fucck as usual.

America should contract China so that Beijing can modernize all the rail transport system in America with speed train. I know some Americans will be afraid of flying now.

This is really getting out of hand, does it mean US can't get a lasting solution to this?

Na waoo, thank God they were successfully evacuated. I can see some of them with their babies. This is really too much for one country, almost every 2weeks. Is it spiritual or just natural occurrence. Since Trump entered it has been crashes or plane mishaps every month. Many will be scared to take flights now

America aviation sector is in shamble, they never had it worse than this.

What is happening to America's aviation sector of late?.. too may records of frightening events in that country.
I think Nigerian Govt. should send some of our trained aviation personnel to the US for assistance. They should not feel too big to ask for help.

Flying I'm America needs to be included in 1000 ways to die as it's becoming more and more uncertain due to the numerous accidents lately
