Sanusi Dantata @SasDantata

To put this into context, in the entire country, there are about 1,500 trucks (tanks) that are in use, carrying petroleum products to varios stations across the nation.

Dangote is bringing 4,000 to start with!

We are delighted to receive 4,000 brand-new CNG trucks as part of our bold distribution initiative, championing cleaner energy and more efficient transportation across Nigeria and beyond.

Great.

The stress the petrol marketers unleashed on Nigeria in the last 10 years or so is unforgettable.
Anything to disrupt their greed and stranglehold on long suffering motorists is welcome.

I hope someone will do same thing in other sectors.

Imagine rice that was sold last month for around N70,000 per bag has been hijacked by marketers mopping rice from markets to store only to start selling the same thing for N100,000 after they created the scarcity.

A supplement sold on Amazon for $11 is sold on Jumia for N34,000. How? Pure greed everywhere.

And then they turn around to blame the government.

A good number of Nigerians are greedy, both within and outside the country, compared to other nationalities

The down side in this is that it means more pressure on our already terrible roads.he has the financial muscle,he should consider trains.build tracks where need be.he would be complimenting the ones federal govt have done(that's if they actually built any).

Nothing is free.

Even in Freetown

It's all added to th cost.

So.he will buy 400 or 4000 trucks and they will be running on air.
Pls say something else.

Dangote no dey carry last. He is determined to deal with the competition.

It is ironic that an oil refinery would be dependent on CNG, rather than one of its own products for its choice for fuel loaded tankers.

The end of NUPENG, they will cry blood over this Dangote move. Handling logistics is one way Dangote business has survived thus far.

Exactly!
This has been his strategy in the cement business. He strangled other competitors, and took fim hold of the market Now it is "rumored" the cement in Nigeria is the most expensive cement in the world. It is more expensive to buy a bag of cement in Nigeria then it is in Ghana, and even China.

Money begets more money.

More characters money needed

But tbt are Nigerians really good to Nigeria and their fellow Nigerians? A group of bad people will gather and select one of their fellow bad person to lead them and later this group will start complaining that their leader is bad.

Indeed. I personally applaud all Dangote is doing in the fuel sector as I believe total cessation of importation of PMS is , for many reasons, best for Nigeria economically.

Additionally, other planned private refineries should deliver working refineries quickly to provide competition to Dangote and ensure we become a nation of zero import of PMS and mass exporters of it.

Confirming your assertion that Dangote knows how to do business, even the truck he chose, I.e Dongfeng, is a good balance of price and quality.

Let the game begins. More cry for the oil marketer (Cabals) that have sworn never to see the oil sector work.

What Nigerian corrupt government cannot do, a single man in the person of Dangote is doing.

Shame! On the oil cabals...

Shame! Shame!! On NNPCL...

Shame! Shame!! Shame!!! On the Nigerian government...

Love him or hate him, Dangote is a business man who is trying to solve a problem where even the government is keeping a blind eye.

That’s the main objective, he can’t do that for free.

Petroleum transport logistics is not what he can bone for free just like that.

Why do we still need to transport fuel via trucks. What happens to pipeline and train? This trucks are not safe on our roads this is 21st century fuel tanker shouldn’t be moving in cities. Or better still at night

The major issue is to invest in more CNG stations because people are not finding it easy to refill their tanks due to limited stations.

CNG is also a by-product of natural gas so it is possible they will be producing their CNG. An extra boost would be having refuelling depot's scattered around the country.

Those trucks should be tariffed

They should be made in Nigeria
Learn from Trump
Those trucks are jobs and taxes in another country
