Video from the Gambian Presidency shows President Barrow and his wife boarding a plane to Katsina. They arrive Katsina and go to Daura in a motorcade.

They are received by Mrs Aisha Buhari and Yusuf Buhari. They then go to the late former president's grave where they offer prayers.

Smiles. President Tinubu is the main reason why President Adaka Barrow has been in town.

I like the way president Barrow didn't distract himself with hunting Jammeh after he left the country.

The role president Tinubu played in making Barrow's s winning to stay, the private jet stuffs, I am just laughing at those who are undermining the political sagacity of president Tinubu. He had won election for others not just in Nigeria. His reelection is just like swallowing pap

Sir Dauda Jawara was prime minister of Gambia from 1962 (before independence in 1965) till 1970 (Queen Elizabeth II was head of state). He became president of Gambia in 1970.

Sir Dauda Jawara was overthrown in a coup in 1994 and Colonel Yahya Jammeh became head of state.

Jammeh transitioned from being a military head of state to a civilian elected president in 1996. He kept changing the constitution to extend his tenure.

Jammeh lost the 2016 presidential election to Adama Barrow, but refused to leave office. Instead he sacked the electoral commission.

ECOWAS told Jammeh to leave office, but he refused.

President Buhari ordered Nigerian Navy warship, NNS Centenary, to Gambia and Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jets flew over Banjul. Senegalese soldiers also massed on the border, ready to invade Gambia and remove Jammeh.

Jammeh got the message and went into exile.

Gambians took to social media to mourn and thank President Buhari when they heard of his (Buhari's) death.

It will shock you that President Barrow too won't want to leave office at the expiration of his terms of office. President Alex Quattara of Cote d'Voire is a good example of how disappointing African leaders can be. He fought to unseat a despotic Gbagbo, only for him to become a worse version of the person that was chased away.

There are people to caution Barrow like president Tinubu. President Tinubu and others was instrumental in Barrow claiming his victory, they won't allow him to go that lane.

Mahama in Ghana was more close to Nigeria before winning his second term.. Connect the dots

naptu2,I love your Sense Of History, you know, especially paragraph 3- of your write up on Jammeh ' he keeps changing ' because he was not interested in handing over to the Civilian!
Indeed,we ( Nigerians) still remember such evil personality in our midst today as he spent Humongous NBILLIONS in an Elections that was Never, but he keeps Deceiving Nigerians, with different lies and sizes- from Economic Woes of SAP,to Stepping aside' but now they are enjoying their Loots by having a University - for the gaulibles audiences!
It's terrible 😔 having such leaders in our midst but are they different from Jammeh Of Gambia?
What Can Not Happens in Nigeria, Corridors of Power does Not Exist because We ( NIGERIANS) accommodated them!
•EVERY LEADERS IN NIGERIA, INCLUDING THE PAST ONES- SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE , IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR POST AND POSITIONS •
-THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN BRING BALANCED HISTORY TO OUR COUNTRY!
Let us Know - the Good ,the Bad and the Ugly of Our Past and the Terrible Roles they Played - when they were in GOVT.

It was PMB ( may his soul rest in peace) that aided Barrow's ascension to their presidency and not PBAT.
Tinubu was not even the president then.
