Today, I had the honour of attending the Foundation Laying/ Graduation Ceremony of the Dominican Sisters’ College, Abatete in Anambra State.
I have actually been part of the institution's trajectory since my time as Governor of Anambra State.

While serving as the Governor of Anambra State, I constructed the girls’ hostel of the school from scratch, ensuring that the female students had a safe, secure, and conducive environment to live and learn.

Today, I laid the foundation of the boys' hostel and continued my commitment to the school by donating ₦25 million.

Education remains the most productive investment any nation can make. It is the foundation of progress, the initial ladder of pulling people out of poverty, and the bedrock of peace and development.

We must continue to support our health and educational institutions and poverty alleviation if we are to build a strong and sustainable nation for our future leaders.

Now, several years after leaving office, his generosity didn’t stop there—he came back to lay the foundation for the boys' hostel.

Can anyone name a Nigerian politician who still does such things years after leaving office? Anyone?
James Ibori? Yahaya Bello? Fashola? Willie Obiano? Okezie Ikpeazụ? Gburugburu of Enugu State? Who, if I may ask?

Is it the ones who vanish after looting the state dry, leaving no trace of their whereabouts?

Meanwhile, someone became president (although by grabbing) and immediately started talking about lavishing a whooping N5 billion of tax payers' money on a presidential yatch in addition to 10 (I mean, ten) presidential jets already on ground. Cutting cost is not on his dictionary, that's why despite the hardship we're already battling with, he went ahead doubling (and in some cases tripling) taxes across all sectors.

Peter Obi on the other hand never stops using his own money to support grassroots development across different parts of the country without discrimination.

All the eye service will not make him president. I hope after 2027 he will continue to make donations has private citizen. No record of him going round the country to donate money immediately after his tenure ended as governor. He only started nationally since 2022. We are watching.
