Aviation: This Is What A Bird Strike Looks Like by Vikkie14(op):
Do you know what it looks like when there's a "bird strike"? The images below, taken by an observer at an airshow in Europe will give a glimpse into the seriousness of the collision.

Story line: An Euro typhoon fighter jet was displaying its manuevrability to onlookers at an airshow, when one of the cameramen took these impressive pictures.

Image 1: Seconds before the fighter jet collided with the bird.

Image 2: The bird was literally blown to smithereens and "pierced out of existence", due to the sheer speed of the fighter jet, by the time it hit the bird at speed exceeding Mach 1.
Image 3: The remains of the bird---- a few feathers.

Image 4: The plane ended up with a broken glass canopy over the instrument cluster. The pilot was able to SAFELY land the plane.

Wow! The camera man who took that picture should be given a Nobel Prize.

Look at traces of the bird’s blood in the sky.

Now I am thinking, shouldn’t the cockpit glass of that Fighter Jet be a fibre or bulletproof glass?

Even a human would be vaporised at that speed. The bird probably didn't feel anything.

RIP Innocent bird.

It went out to look for it's daily bread and was involved in a ghastly aviation accident leaving behind a wife and six birdings😁😁

Make it's innocent soul rest In birds heaven.

Me I'm more impressed with the powerful camera that was used to capture such clear pictures for an object moving at such terrific speed. And it captured multiple shots in quick succession (must be auto mode). Good job
