Nigeria is fast spiralling into absurdity. What is a Doctor doing in BBNaija house, in a country where the doctor to patient ratio is 1 doctor for every 9,083 patients? Really unfortunate!

Well, not if he Japa. Doctors could make as much as $700k ( 1 billion naira) per annum in the US.
$700k/yr in the US? Are you kidding right now? I mean, is he a CEO, some very experienced specialist surgeon or what? See how calling $700k as if it's naira. To knack you something for head dey hungry me.

Chill sir.

With that kind of hair he’s carrying in clinic, he most likely than not, didn’t train here.

E no dey hard una to generalize una insult. 😢
Irrespective to where he trained, his focus, attention to details, timely intervention, passion, humility, emphaty, and natural human feeling are what made him a good doctor.

I pray BBN doesn't distract him from his medical field, being a doctor requires constant attention... No be joke...
He needs the money and not to practice as a doctor for 20 years and cannot boast of an ordinary N150million naira in your account.

rinzaugustine:
If he knows what he is doing in medical practice he wouldn’t be doing bbn naija
Oo well he knows what he is doing better than you know what you are doing. He is in for the money bag and not making a decision to stay in poverty and not been known. He will get wealth and fame now.

Tenrack:
it's a big pity. And some fools would defend his actions
You are the one who has not seen anything about life yet, hence the reason you think he will choose poverty over property or should I just call this selfishness.

Wake up to reality bros. No serious practitioner would do this. He doesn't have passion for his job. This is why everything about Nigeria is mediocre. Y'all keep giving room to mediocrity.

Passion for what? Will he use passion to feed his family, or will passion pay his children's school fees? Trust me bro this is the reality, passion for any job is dead. It is all about the mulla now. I used to have a passion for the Engineering oil and gas job I was doing, and 15 years later, with nothing tangible to show for it. And mind you, in my profession, we get paid more than doctors in Nigeria. When the Recession and COVID came, the company screwed us over a 100 times. Obviously, the person who told you there is dignity in labour obviously lied to you. If you are not raking in millions of cash, then forget it, this is the world we are living in, it is all about the mulla, as no one, I repeat, no one will come to your aid when you are broke. Even your wife will abandon you. So leave this guy, let him chase the money. House rent now in the major cities is very expensive. A two-bedroom apartment in my area is about N2M annually. And doctors in Nigeria get paid an average of 300K monthly. So do you expect them to go live in batcher houses after the stressful day at the hospital doing surgery on patients? Think about it. When reality strikes you, passion for any job will fly out the window.

He might be a student doctor, or a doctor still looking for where to practice because I can't imagine myself allowing a doctor with dreadlocks attend to me
You people self with holier than though, i have been attended to by a yound doctor and dread and trust me he was one of the most profession mediacl help i have gotten before. you people like hypocricy too much in this country, what is the connection between been a good doctor and keeping dread.

In which planet, please? And when have doctors become footballers to earn that much amount of money?

Skydivine:
He is already a doctor. That is the hardest part. Even during residency, they still get paid up to 100k per annum
And you think it is easy to Japa now, so you are advising all the doctorss in Nigeria to japa. so what is the difference with what this guy just did? he has ran away from the profession to bbnaija house.

yemmit90:
A good doctor will never thought of spending his time watching BBN, let alone participate in it.

He is probably one of the poor trained doctors that are killing people with wrong medical treatments at Teaching hospitals. Reason many rich people and politicians don't believe in them.
been a good doctor menas you will be paid highly as their counterpart abroad i pressume, So you are saying if a good doctor sees an opportunity to earn N150M, he will not take it abi. Is that waht you think of mediacl doctors, like they are allergy to big money and will settle anytime anyday for a mere N300K per month governmnet job. gross.

Well, as long as he has identified himself as a doctor, he will be held by the ethical and moral standards expected of a doctor, whether on the job or not. That is what the rules say.
He better be careful!

Doctors are underpaid in Nigeria no doubt about that but requesting for the same salary or packages others are earning in another climate is just so absurd.

Since you guys are quick to compare people earning dollars to those earning in Nigeria, then I will like to remind you that, an average medical student in USA spent nothing less than $350k including school fees, practicals, books, feeding and accommodation. In Nigeria where you want Government to be paying a doctor 150m per annum, an average medical student school fees and others mentioned above at federal universities will never upto $5000 for the duration of the course.. So tell me why such Government should pay you the same salary which doctors at where you spend over 20000% more to acquired the same certificate. I could remember during our days in school, medical students were paying just #7,500 per session, just #1900 less than what other students were paying. And i am very sure it won't be more than 200k for any medical student at federal universities now.

#1m naira per month for entry level resident doctor could be fine, while consultants should earn nothing less than #5m naira per month. Government should look into teacher's salary as well, a level 7 NCE entry should earn nothing less than 300k per month.
