Please my fellow lithium enthusiast, between a SRNE 2.56kwh 24 lithium battery and a Bread 5kwh 24v lithium battery, which should i go for since they are both within my budget. I dont know if the SRNE and the Bread lithium battery have smart BMS.

The total watts i want to use the system for is below 700 watts, thank you

Please I observe my 12v 4kwh Haisic battery charges rather fast from 11v to about 13.5 but takes ages to charge up to 14.6v. This happens both with solar charging and grid charge

The charge curve has a sigmoid shape. It takes a long time to reach full charge from around 13.2v.

How come you normally hit 14.6v. I thought Lifepo4 12v batteries shouldn't exceed 14.4v.
Are you sure you're not overcharging your battery?

Good morning guys , great minds I have been following this thread for years and I have gained a lot , pls I want to upgrade my set up from a 3.5 kva felicity , 2 luminous tubular battery set up to 5kva hybrid inverter Set up , with 5kwh or 7.5 kilowatts lithium battery . I plan to use my ac and washing machine during peak hours of sun . Pls guys I need the best advices because I’m working on a tight budget , I already have 8 , 250 or 300 watts Canadian used panels on the roof . I need your best recommendations for hybrid inverter and good lithium battery , from 5kwh to 8.5kwh . Thanks guys . 😊😊😊

Buy the biggest battery you can.

Mrreed, Valto, Haisic all sell affordable batteries.

If you have to choose between the two listed, definitely the 5kwh from Bread. Buy directly from their store if possible and ask any questions before buying.

I wanted to buy same battery and inverter, but since you that is experienced said the bread battery is okay, i read on this thread that their inverter is noisy and all that.

So please what inverter brand will comminicate well with the bread battery.

And will 4 true rated 450 to 500 watts panels be okay for the 3kva inverter and 5kwh battery set up?

Case by case basis on communication. I don't know what protocol Bread uses.

2000w is passable. You can survive on it but you're probably best served going up to 3000w.

There is Feeo brand in case you need it.

3.65 on full charge is okay for lithium batteries.

Mine charges to 14.6 everyday.

Ok thanks, please i just confirmed the battery has no communication port, but it has the usual inbuilt bms.

Pls is the no communication port going to be an issue or its something that can work like that? Thanks

I want to take this opportunity to appreciate this group in my inverter journey. I love my set up so far. The 10kwh battery is monstrous for my daily usage so much so that I barely consume 10 percent every night with fridge and fan on and the Firman inverter is a champ although I'm still disappointed that it can't communicate via BMS still but I set the parameters as bulk 54.4v and float as 54.0v keeping my battery at 96 percent full charge not 100 though the recommendation is 55.2 bulk and 54.4 float. If anyone is able to communicate Firman with lvtopsun I'd like to hear it as it's important to me. God bless you all for your amazing work

Are you sure this will not have a long term effect on the battery? I think the recommended full charge voltage for each cell is 3.6v, because my CC always gets into a defence mode with a bleep sound and Red icon alert whenever my battery hits 14.6v.

You have my contact I believe, You need to use RS485 communication protocol. Set RS485 Communication using the screen to Pylon.

We always make Communication possible on our Installations.
