If you read the article well, you would have seen where they stated that he's not there member, and he's banned from registering or applying to be a member of the party for 30years.

By the way, this Emilokan must be very strong to be in every opposition parties.

The same thing please. Whether the used the word “expelled” or “ex communicate”, the intent there was to sack. They simply sacked him from the party.

It is unfortunate that Nigerian politicians still play very crude politics, all in the name of power and control. The party, SDP, unveiled El Rufai with so much fun fare. Now they claim that the same big fish that they caught was not their member. The reason simply is that El Rufai has one leg in ADC. Again, BAT has his own men in SDP.

How can you expel, sack, fire, chase away, pursue or ex communicate someone who is not your member please. Without a membership card or as they say, employment letter, how can you fire someone?

Truly it is not about English. Let’s set aside the language and reason properly. It is simply about the senselessness of some Nigerian politicians.

If he publicly declared for SDP and never had a membership card, where did the “expelled” come from please? All they would have done was to denounce him, telling the world that he was not a member and no one should transact any business with him in the name of SDP. That’s all!

i still think there ought to be membership of a kind. From a group, etc.
You see, its insufficient to say that simply ceasing communication with anybody is excommunication. What if that person was not even talking to you as well? Your usage would make it appear that if you block someone on your line, thats excommunication too. What if they had already blocked you or died?

I believe there must be current membership of a sort.

You should be asking how El-rufai will parade himself as a member of SDP without having registration with his ward? That is impersonation that could lead him to jail. He knew he was not a member, but representing SDP or talking on their behalves on live media show; is that not an offence to you?
He was expelled for fraud and other reasons stated above. He did self registration and claimed to be member. So he had already claimed to be member, but verification exercise found him out, so the El-rufai that Obidients and ipob had forgiven as a man that will lead Obi to Aso rock has already been stained with bad reputation. ADC is already on confusion stage, backup SDP has been removed from El-rufai, he has only one option left at moment
