The report is alarmist and misleading. Most of the statements are not true. People already on sponsorship can renew their visa based on the old rate at which they were sponsored. The jobs removed from foreign sponsorship and the new salary threshold is for those seeking sponsorship for the first time.

Yeah, if need be let them come to naija and enjoy with us the fantastic economy buhari and now his successor has put on ground. Most of them voted rubbish then conveniently ran abroad when things got worse, they even continued running mouth from there.
The one that remains is for Canada to do theirs because that is where the bulk of buharist and later tinuburist have japa to, still running mouth from there. One of them almost punched persin over buhari matter during the first term, second term he still was shouting sai buhari, ending of seconnd term we saw on face book this fellow has japa to Canada. Someone asked him why, guyman said naija was not looking favorable for him and his puppies, no future, that before see finish enters let him leave. Persin ask, so after shouting said baba taya you run? Funny thing about this dude, from that side he started shouting jagaban, jagaban. Such people have to come back by force to enjoy the buhari and jagaban economy with us.
Sure, Canada harbous a lot of Buharist, but a significant proportion would have attained citizenship by now. It is those Jagaban that could be affected.

If I were in your shoes, I would steer clear from such a human being.

Atleast they are in anambra trampling themselves over uncooked rice. Let those ones that voted buhari and Tinubu also come and trample themselves over cooked here in naija and not in Europe, UK, Canada or US.
Many of them are making money in pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, agriculture, manufacturing, financial services, etc.

Before Tinubu came, what were you doing with your life?
Don't go and recalibrate your life. Dey here.

Nigerians and envy! Once we hear about uncomfortable news about Nigerians abroad, we rejoice because we want them to come and join us in the misery. We underestimate the impact the Nigerian diasoporans are having on Nigeria's economy. We ignore the many families, relatives and friends they are supporting back home, through their remittances that have continued to spur spending and money circulation. If not because of diaspora remittances, naira would have crumbled to N4k to a dollar. Imagine the resultant impact of that to the economy, which everyone would feel the impact. Let's all have broader perspective to issues affecting someone as it indirectly affect us as well

My advice to Nigerian folks is to look elsewhere instead of waiting to be deported.

There are jobs in neighboring countries around UK, like Spain, Ireland, etc

Just look for an alternative location but don't think of coming back to Nigeria, you have made it there, keep pushing, never give up!
Did Spain and Italy send invitation letters? I don't think Nigerians are wanted there either.

Final destination should just be Ojuelegba cheesy grin grin grin grin

Well, West Africa and Central Africa are the poster kids of African chaos. I don't know who brainwashed Nigerians with the * anywhere is better than home* mentality. It's weird.

From a young age we were taught to sweep and clean our own house and backyard before going to help out the neighbors. It seems it's the other way round in Nigeria.....charity begins elsewhere grin
It is brain washing, as Nigerians, we have shown that we cant fix our selves, so, we ran away. Forget the sweet name we call it, we have a failed society that has overwheled us. Like, imagine where we dont have a working health care system, educational system is already dead and we cheer the politicians who take their own kids abroad for education, we usually line up to welcome their kids and praise the leaders. We have failed, we cant build a viable society, dont mind us when we make noise, it is completely empty. We dont have any sector that is working in nigeria, I mean, none works.

This is not nice at all. I believe many of them already sold assets here in Nigeria before relocating to the UK.
..that is why Nigerians and the government should make our economy and country better.. government should provide good governance...if our economy and country is good and better and developed.. all this japa to UK for greener pastures and the insults, deportation, embarrassment Nigerians receive over there will reduce and stop.. simple

Many people who are too poor to afford cost of travelling will shout deport them out of envy. These people that travelled in search of greener pastures are not the cause of your misery.
..that same greener pastures can be created here in Nigeria...that is why the government should make the economy and country better , good and developed and provide good governance..if our economy and country is better and good all this japa to UK for greener pastures and the insults, deportation, embarrassment Nigerians receive over there will reduce and stop.. simple.....the UK people and government that made their economy and country better are like human beings like us.. God has blessed Nigeria with crude oil, gas, mineral resources, oil wells, gold, fertile land for agriculture in which for us to make this country better and good and well developed

Please read the thread/quotes well...I haven't said that. How can someone with CoS be an illegalhuh

My response was in the context of those who would choose to hide after their CoS expires and they're unable to secure a new job with the new rates.

Prince is right
His reference includes your own country South Africa

Every African country right now is on the WRONG PATH

No exceptions

We better wake up
Who are you to decide this ? grin

How do you know what other Africans want for themselves ?

And lastly there's a difference with being on the wrong path and having problems.

Other African countries may be on the right path ( depending on what their national plan and goals are ) but struggling with climbing up some hills . Stop projecting. And I'm not saying SA is on the right or wrong path in this instance but stop projecting your Nigerian failures and frustrations on to other Africans. No one is denying the struggles, but stop exaggerating grin

When we say fight to make your own dominant environment workable, liveable and comfortable for you and your children....we are called local champions wink. This is what happens when your home is a mess ,no matter where you run to people will treat you as they see your home. The more chaotic and destructive your home is, the less people take you seriously or acccord you any sort of respect even if you're a Dr or well -known soccer player ( at most you'll feel and see that you're just being tolerated grin grin). Look at your passport ranking and you'll get a clue of how you'll be treated or perceived out there wink
Are you not fighting too? You mean over 230 million nigerians back home cannot fight?

Not all Nigerians. The Hausa are not like that. They mostly stay put in the country. However they are not as educated as the Yoruba and the Igbo.

However the Yoruba and the Igbo are more successful and better educated than South African groups. The only problem is they tend to run away from their country rather than get down and build it. There is unhealthy competition in Nigeria is the problem. The country is better off split
