I just wanted to share a small experience that still feels like a dream. I’m a Nigerian girl based in Abuja, and in May, I traveled to Greece for the very first time. I still can’t believe it happened. I got my Schengen visa after lots of back and forth (documents, hotel bookings, flight itinerary, the stress was real). But once I got that stamp, I was already mentally in Santorini. When I landed in Athens, the first shock was how quiet the streets were. No shouting, no generator noise 😂 Just calm. I spent two days exploring ancient ruins like the Acropolis and honestly, standing in those old places made me feel small and grateful. Then I took a ferry to Santorini. Let me just say this the pictures online don’t even do it justice. The blue and white houses, the sea view, the sunsets… chai, I almost cried watching the sun go down with local Greek music playing in the background. I met a few other African ladies there too, one from Ghana and another Nigerian from the UK. We took pictures together and even ate souvlaki from a small roadside spot. One thing I learned: if you ever get the chance to travel, even if it takes saving for months, do it. The world is big and beautiful. If anyone’s planning to visit Greece, feel free to ask me questions. I’m happy to share tips

One thing I learned: if you ever get the chance to travel, even if it takes saving for months, do it. The world is big and beautiful. This is very true. “Experiences over possessions” is one saying Nigerians do not understand. For some reason, other African nationals are open to the point of reasoning. I’m a Nigerian girl based in AbujaSo, you’re between the ages of 3 - 17 years? Let’s fix this. People are adults from the age of 18 or 21. You are a Nigerian woman. People properly trained will not allow a boy or girl travel alone. |

I’ve been planning my longer EV drives with https://www.smartevroute.com/ because it lets me plug in my starting and reserve battery levels and then tweaks the route with smart charging stops. Being able to adjust the safety margin and add a couple of extra destinations on the fly has saved me from a few range hiccups, and jumping straight to Google Maps keeps the trip smooth. |
